Flip-Flop Heart Pivot Card (Sneak Peek )

Good morning friends!

I've been sharing sneak peeks of Karen Burniston's new Pop it Ups dies, and have another to share today -- this one uses the Heart Pivot like the one in my first Sneak Peek post.  To learn more about these dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, read THIS post.

Karen B sent me the Heart Pivot to play with, and I am having SO much fun with it because hearts can be used for lots more than just Valentine cards. I've made seven cards with the Heart Pivot and only one has been a Valentine. I haven't even made an Anniversary card yet, although that is on my 'idea list'.

The lower heart is popped up with Fun Foam from the craft store. Even though the dies are wafer thin (love) they cut through the fun foam with no trouble at all. I needed something sturdy to pop up the heart, since the orange piece is just a paper scrap. I glued the paper heart to the fun foam one then attached it to my card with glue dots.

My Mom gave me these Flip Flop stamps/dies for Christmas and I was just itching to use them.  The fun thing about the Pivot dies --(and remember there is a Butterfly Pivot and a Label Pivot in the collection)-- is that the decorations on the outside pivot to the inside as the card is opened!

I penned the words on the 2nd heart "Life is just better in Flip Flops".  :-)   On this Heart Pivot card, I added a backing strip. They are completely unnecessary, but I just had to try it and see.

Here is what the card looks like from the back and above:

These are wafer thin dies (think easy to store), and they come WITH the decorator dies for layering!!!  For the Heart Pivot, there are seven dies in the set.  You just snip them apart and you are ready to play. Yup - I'm loving this Heart Pivot die ...

The dies will be ready to ship to retailers right after CHA (January 10 - 14th 2014), so if you are interested in purchasing them be sure to contact your local shop and have them place their pre-orders! They will also be shipping to Canada and overseas, so don't think that these are only available in the US. If your local retailers are attending CHA, have them stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs booth #441 and see the dies in action as well as all the sample cards.

Here is a peek at the packaging for the Heart Pivot die, which shows all seven dies you get in the set. Also shown on Karen Burniston's sample, are her Agatha Edges dies ... you're gonna love them too!

I'm also going to share pictures of the Buterfly & Katy Label Pivot with the decorator dies they come with ...
