Grandparent's Day Cards

Today I'm sharing the two (nearly identical) cards I sent out for Grandparent's Day.  One for my parents and one for Gregg's.

The three eggs represent our three children (I didn't add eggs for the two great-grandkids though).

The nest was Cricut cut from the cartridge "Give A Hoot". So sweet - I want to cut more of them, just to have them.  :-)

The egg stickers are by - who else? - K&Co. I really should buy stock.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pretty Cricut Frog

Sorry I haven't had any new posts this weekend. I've been working on some cards, but haven't finished any off completely. Also, I've been spending my computer time on Pinterest this weekend. So much eye candy in one place - I always get so inspired on that site.

I do have a fun card to share today, featuring a Cricut cut frog.

This is a larger card, 6 x 5.5". The frog was cut using 'Give a Hoot' from K&Co papers, all but the little flower. That's from a Stampin' Up stamp I fussy cut and popped up.  I also used a sheet of patterned paper (Colorbok) and my Scorepal to make a coordinating envelope. The label on the envelope front is from the Stamps of Life set 'lines2journal'.  I love that set!  I stamped it on label paper, cut it out and attached it to the front of the envelope for readable address area.

Finally, here is a peek at the inside:

Pretty Owl Card

It's Friday, and I have a Flip-It card to share today.

The owl and branch are Cricut cut using the 'Give A Hoot' cartridge. After attaching the layers together, I outlined them with a Sakura Gel pen for some shimmer & shine. Then I popped the whole thing up on the front of a circle Flip-It card.

I added a scalloped and a straight strip on the sides of the double sided paper, for a subtle embellishment and colour.

On the flip side, I stamped a Stampin' Up Word Jumble image with a rainbow inkpad.

Just a fun little card for my stash.
