Wobbly Squirrel and Deer Thanksgiving Card Duo

Good morning friends, and welcome to my new followers!

I've been having fun with Lawn Fawn's 'Into the Woods' stamp and die set recently. I've had it since it first came out and I'm so glad I got it - those critters are just adorable. Here are the two cards I'm sharing today.

The squirrel is on a mini Action Wobble, and he has Wiggly Eyes. So when you flick him with your finger, he not only wobbles - you get the sound effect from the eyes. It's addicting!

Inside the card, I added stamping and some stickers from my stash.

The second card has the deer ... man, I love LOVE that little deer. This one has a wiggly eye and is also on a mini Action Wobble.

I had these cards out on my craft room counter for the longest time - just so I could flick and wiggle them as I went by. Ha!

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Brown card stock
White card stock
Stamps and dies - Lawn Fawn
Stitched Rectangle die - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Wiggly eyes
Glaze Pen
Wink of Stella
Bic Markers
Watercolour crayons
Coloured Pencils
Gambol & blending stump
Mini-Action Wobbles - Art Impressions
Fun foam
Stitched oval - My Favorite Things
Clear double sided adhesive, 1/8" - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Spider Halloween Card

Good morning friends

I have a flat Halloween card to share today, using some of the new Halloween Collection items by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The Graveyard scene is fabulous for Halloween projects. Here I cut it out of white card stock, and used it as a mask to stipple purple ink through it. Then I stamped my favourite dot stamp (Stamps by Judith) through the mask as well.

The Bats stencil makes a great background, but you can also isolate a few of them as I did here. The sky and moon were also sponged or stippled onto the white panel.

I had these cute black web embellishments in my stash so added one then cut a Spider from green to adhere to the web. The 31 was stamped in black then cut out with the oval from the Anita Frames and adhered with yellow brads.

Here is a peek at the inside - loving the new clear Halloween stamps! Also the Labels and Circles are ones that I seem to be turning to again and again.

Supplies:
Bats Stage it Stencil - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
White card stock
Fired Frames Stitched Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Moose Birthday Card

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and today's share is the card I made for my Mom to give my Dad for his 88th Birthday.

I love this moose stamp, and thought he would look especially good in a party hat.

I used the Props 2 by Karen Burniston for the Party Hat - it works for lots more than just putting on a Pop it up Character!

Dad doesn't have a lot of fine motor skills, but he sure appreciates it when he knows I've made him a card. This one made him smile.

Supplies:
Kraft card stock
Moose stamp - Stamps by Judith & Heather
Prismacolor Pencils
Gamsol & Blending Stump
Brown fine point marker - LePen
Copics
Cream card and envelope - Michaels
Patterned paper - Carta Bella
Fun foam
Props 2, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Moose Hello Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is a quick card that is on it's way to Sri Lanka, to a little boy we sponsor through World Vision. We had been driving home from the Farmers Market and there was a moose in a field off the highway so I was inspired to use this Moose stamp. It was one of my purchases from the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show (Stamps by Judith) - honestly, I could buy every one of her animal stamps. LOVE them.

The 'hello' was die cut from a metallic card stock, and I added a glaze pen on the eyes and nostrils. It's showing up in the photo as a glitter, but it is a clear raised finish.

I wrote a note inside, and thought he might like one of my completed Zentangle tiles so that went in as well.

Supplies:
Moose - Stamps by Judith & Heather
Water Colour Pencils - Derwent
Sakura Glaze Pen
Cream card and envelope - Michaels
Hello die - My Favorite Things
Metallic card stock - Stardream
Clear double sided adhesive, 4" width - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Patterned paper - We R Memory Keepers

Card size - 5 x 6-1/2"

Cocoa the Horse Birthday Pull Tab Card

Good morning friends

Today I'd like to share the birthday card I made for our 'Daughter In Law' who loves horses. The first photo shows the card folded flat and ready to put in the envelope.

I used the Hanging Charm Pull Tab for the card base, adding a layered rectangle to cover the frame and make it a solid panel for embellishing.  When the tag is pulled, the Cocoa horse scene stands up and reveals a sentiment below. I did add extra card stock strips to the reverse of the 'arms' before assembling, so the weighty panel would be easily supported.

I like to add some decorating to the reverse of my HCPT cards, since I make them as flat post-card style cards. Here is the back of this one ...

Karen Burniston's April Designer Challenge Card #2

Good morning friends

Today's share is my second card for the April Designer Challenge "Great Outdoors".  I had a 12 x 12" sheet of patterned paper that I really wanted to use for the challenge, so this is the card I came up with.

The palm tree was made using two layers of Kraft card stock for stability, then heat embossed with two different colours. The embossing powder has some sparkle to it which is fun.

On the Pull Tab Frame, I added two fussy cut faux postage from the patterned paper sheet and layered them. You can see all the raised & shiny bits on the patterned paper in the photo. The frame was stamped with my favourite dot stamp to give it a little somethin' somethin' and the bottom faux post was added with foam tape.

When you pull the tab, the frame stands up and reveals the lighthouse faux post and a greeting stamped below

After colouring, I added Glossy Accents to the word 'hello'.

The medallion stencil was used on the back panel, which was left blank as an area to write a message.

Check out my fellow Designer Challenge Team members projects, their blogs are linked to the right. Karen Burniston will have her post tomorrow (Wednesday) on her BLOG so be sure and check that for more amazing inspiration.

Hot Air Balloon Valentine Card

Good morning friends

I love Karen Burniston's new Hot Air Balloon Pop-Up die, which is shipping this month. Here I've used it as a flat (gasp) Valentine Card. I'm happy with how it turned out!

I restrained myself from putting it on an Action Wobble, but that would be pretty cute another time. And there will be another time, I'm loving this Hot Air Balloon!

Here is a peek at the inside, with a computer generated greeting and some stamped hearts.

On a side note, I have a new obsession. The Project Life App.  I used to scrapbook and I loved it. Then it all became too much and I stopped splitting my crafting time between scrapbooking and card making, concentrating on the latter. Happily, I might add. When Becky Higgins started Project Life I thought "if I ever get back into scrapbooking, Project Life / Pocket Scrapbooking will be what I get into".

At the end of December I stumbled onto Becky Higgins' Project Life App. Scrapbooking in the palm of your hand! I can use my iPad or my iPhone and create digital pocket scrapbook pages. Yesterday I had to go for blood work, and an afternoon appointment means they are usually running behind and there is a bit of a wait. I completed two pages while I was in the waiting room! The Project Life App is truly a game changer, just as it's advertised. THANK YOU Becky Higgins!  #ProjectLifeApp

Patterned paper - stash

Snowman and Christmas Tree Pop Stand Card

Good morning friends

I have been having SO much fun with the Christmas Tree's Pop Stand, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Even though my cards are all mailed or delivered for this year, I wanted to make another with this die set. So ... this is my first Christmas card for next year. Ha!

The card front has two trees, which are the leftover  interior shapes from the largest expanding trees. I simply cut two more trunks out of brown adhesive backed card stock and added a fussy cut greeting from the same paper stack.

The cute snowman paper worked nicely for the Pop Stand, and I adore the expanding trees in the centre.

I stamped them with my favourite Stamps by Judith stamp, a polka dot image, as well as inked the edges with a darker green.

The greeting was stamped on a Katie Label accessory die and attached with foam tape.

These Pop-Stand cards fold up completely flat, but have such a WOW factor when they are opened.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Recollections
Christmas Trees Pop Stand, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Brown card stock
Clear Double Sided Adhesive, 2-1/2' width
Words - Artistic impressions
Green card stock - Stampin' Up

C4C 304 Sketch

Good morning friends.

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges BlogRaquel Mason is our September Hostess, and Fran Sabad joins us as our September Guest Designer. Raquel has a sketch for us this week:

I used the sketch on the outside of my card.

Inside, I made a Pop-Up using the Lots of Pops die which is a set designed by Karen Burniston through Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Brownie the Cow was coloured with chalks, and I penned the 'I'm thinking of Moo' on the oval label. The label was stamped with my favourite dot stamp. I like the black 'smile' on the top speech balloon, it just pops!

Here is a side view so you can see the Pop-Up a little better.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C304.
