Good morning friends<br />
<br />
When I was putting away the Christmas embellishments, I found a package of New Years stickers! I made yesterday's card with them but wanted to use the rest of the sheet and not store them for another year. This is what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 14.850000381469727px;"><span style="background-color: white;">I had big plans for Joset's Gingerbread Man die when I finally ordered it. Not sure what happened to the time though - I'm going to blame it on my surgery & recovery and our newest Grandbaby. But I did manage to make a couple of cards with it and look forward to playing with it more next year.</span></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeUeSlJbPyMcqtaokA027SE4gxJEgzYK3mja2q5Lu2BkAlLV0_G12osvXuO6u4jP7Fe2mbIWdmJ4Paxr6fhQtv4ii076azb7CqmjNd_b6RBg9Iq5SQp3Yp6tnyJCYU71BcweFMC4gEzcE/s1600/Card_ECD_GingerbreadDuo_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="282" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeUeSlJbPyMcqtaokA027SE4gxJEgzYK3mja2q5Lu2BkAlLV0_G12osvXuO6u4jP7Fe2mbIWdmJ4Paxr6fhQtv4ii076azb7CqmjNd_b6RBg9Iq5SQp3Yp6tnyJCYU71BcweFMC4gEzcE/s400/Card_ECD_GingerbreadDuo_1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love Kraft with red, so added red accents. The 'Hi' is from Karen Burniston's Circle Twist Pop-Up card - it's a little word that comes in very handy for lots of different cards.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXBZ78amBVJIZKUjJ3TU2zHJRisotuLCrNVaovOphoexnXq6Nwns6r4lMNY4as6GS6nSFjiBmgERMbSbbGAasQ97rvrAZQXWN7guFzor4eIRPNi6ffFN0tjIxKcjJWekZinx8L3GfP7SY/s1600/Card_ECD_GingerbreadDuo_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXBZ78amBVJIZKUjJ3TU2zHJRisotuLCrNVaovOphoexnXq6Nwns6r4lMNY4as6GS6nSFjiBmgERMbSbbGAasQ97rvrAZQXWN7guFzor4eIRPNi6ffFN0tjIxKcjJWekZinx8L3GfP7SY/s400/Card_ECD_GingerbreadDuo_2.JPG" width="311" /></a></div>
<br />
The red borders come from a different card set, and I also got out Els' Curvy Ovals fitted frames. Another set I purchased and want to use more in the future.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgan3Dxn3T5un2jTgGR6yo_9VJ3GsnHRHqROslnnYvSNgCGWvY3KpK4S3NQwaBcH7BzHp9sZAsZPFQsPkX9vOc6KN9-dRKNMteNLa7gc7esVAkgdIkqDxf1pvU33CuBCdmIXwAXL7v8RW0/s1600/Card_ECD_GingerbreadDuo_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgan3Dxn3T5un2jTgGR6yo_9VJ3GsnHRHqROslnnYvSNgCGWvY3KpK4S3NQwaBcH7BzHp9sZAsZPFQsPkX9vOc6KN9-dRKNMteNLa7gc7esVAkgdIkqDxf1pvU33CuBCdmIXwAXL7v8RW0/s400/Card_ECD_GingerbreadDuo_3.JPG" width="293" /></a></div>
<br />
Inside of both cards is the same ... stamped using Joset's 'Winter Sentiments' clear stamps - this one is my favourite in the set. Ok I admit it - I bought the set BECAUSE of this phrase. :-)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
While I'd like to say this is the last Christmas card I'll be sharing till next year this time, I hope to work on holiday cards/tags etc throughout the year. But it <b>is</b> the last one for a little while! I still plan on cutting and assembling a whole bunch of cute little gingerbread men to have on hand.<br />

I was so excited to get this mittens die when it was on the discontinued list at MFT. I had them sent to a friend in Arizona and had to wait a couple of months before I could play with them. Then ... I couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted to DO with them! So these were actually test cuts that I decided to make into a basic Christmas card.</div>

Good morning friends<br />

<b style="color: #333333; font-family: '"arial"', '"helvetica"', sans-serif; font-size: 14.850000381469727px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></b>
The name of the game has been to USE THINGS UP as I worked on our Christmas cards this year. I had several pieces die cut and ready to mount onto card bases, so I combined those pieces with some stickers etc from my stash and made these three cards. I still have some Christmas cards to share this week, then I promise you I'll be onto something different.<br />
<br />
This first one has a super sparkly card base - I keep forgetting I have these, and they are perfect for holiday cards. The tree is a glittered foam tree sticker from my stash.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYBPSNMb2dr34dNhF1I02sw_2Mm_O0dkgwHmRepH5OrAp03ke_yPqffNykSHFlIQnFOOej2wwBO9lRyMBq5ji2TIIgeq1O1cNuVCCdVM-E2vddhyphenhyphenGICMpQNaDWLUKzUzbPL3P__1gPEt0/s1600/Card_CmasW.Extras_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYBPSNMb2dr34dNhF1I02sw_2Mm_O0dkgwHmRepH5OrAp03ke_yPqffNykSHFlIQnFOOej2wwBO9lRyMBq5ji2TIIgeq1O1cNuVCCdVM-E2vddhyphenhyphenGICMpQNaDWLUKzUzbPL3P__1gPEt0/s400/Card_CmasW.Extras_2.JPG" width="313" /></a></div>
<br />
I had two panels cut for these next two cards, but that was before I had stitched rectangle dies (which I love, by the way). I re-cut the panels with a Blueprints stitched rectangle then mounted them to the dark red card bases.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFp3RZkQfGQ0tCSrA9kxr-uTNWPfwSCGFD85DCBDParAXixPQc_R81loJ3vgSvzpryqaeN8r6SSOJqry-Fsz0JzFnmWxOBbXeG-Mnjk9ViCDH6If0TmY8UKrY23CzTxQvft_8VCogm1IM/s1600/Card_CmasW.Extras_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFp3RZkQfGQ0tCSrA9kxr-uTNWPfwSCGFD85DCBDParAXixPQc_R81loJ3vgSvzpryqaeN8r6SSOJqry-Fsz0JzFnmWxOBbXeG-Mnjk9ViCDH6If0TmY8UKrY23CzTxQvft_8VCogm1IM/s400/Card_CmasW.Extras_3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The vintage red snowflake paper was too pretty to throw away anything but the tiniest scraps. I used a couple of the smaller leftover pieces for these two cards as well as 3-d snowflake stickers from my stash.<br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Good morning friends</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Welcome to the second Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge for December 2016 - this time teammate Sandy Diller issued the challenge: <i><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129;"><b>Team theme - Sandy Diller - "Party Animals" - use any of the Character dies for a card celebrating the New Year or anything else!</b></span></i></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">For my card, Jinks the Monkey is off to a Black Tie New Years Eve Party where he has just tossed his top hat into the air so he can catch a glass of pink champagne. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMQ9FLEktwbxQBwVzAvi4iNgFXQ63g2Uhh4K0INv7UgoCI2OA-cO9XyRudTPK5OG3n3N9_2Ndbiv9EHx5-sg11MlmJi24bnoOc3n4hr3y2g10TdO_lMEdJLET2E08qOLdZ5DR7QcONNdg/s1600/Card_PIU_HCPT_DC_JinksBlkTy_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMQ9FLEktwbxQBwVzAvi4iNgFXQ63g2Uhh4K0INv7UgoCI2OA-cO9XyRudTPK5OG3n3N9_2Ndbiv9EHx5-sg11MlmJi24bnoOc3n4hr3y2g10TdO_lMEdJLET2E08qOLdZ5DR7QcONNdg/s400/Card_PIU_HCPT_DC_JinksBlkTy_1.JPG" width="306" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I used this cool patterned card stock with embedded glitter, along with kraft and red card stocks. Love this colour combination!</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Jinks is popped up with three layers of foam tape, but I still needed to curve his hand and the top of his head up slightly, to slide the oval back into place.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This is a flat, post-card style card, but I did add some pattern and colour onto the back where I'll write my note & add our signatures.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-UszDBnxtgnjnhiV-BEpUGb2vY1QP9nsxPYOb-OpjIzKyl_gT5xHeUiBOFgDNJd_zTt8lIlz915uUDIXTnmAh7BKLAQfwZd3u4nEh7mbMhGiMPyByeQYuV-jFxSbwgeBwg4u_UwEqXZw/s1600/Card_PIU_HCPT_DC_JinksBlkTy_6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-UszDBnxtgnjnhiV-BEpUGb2vY1QP9nsxPYOb-OpjIzKyl_gT5xHeUiBOFgDNJd_zTt8lIlz915uUDIXTnmAh7BKLAQfwZd3u4nEh7mbMhGiMPyByeQYuV-jFxSbwgeBwg4u_UwEqXZw/s400/Card_PIU_HCPT_DC_JinksBlkTy_6.JPG" width="336" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Another peek at Jinks ... his black bow-tie and snazzy glasses are embellished with Glitter Dots. I cut his face piece 3 times from kraft card stock then layered them together for dimension. The top layer got some glitter from a Wink of Stella pen - because any monkey going to a New Years Eve party should wear some glitter. Ha! Jinks also has a sparkled bow on his tail.</span><br />

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
I've had a bunch of posts scheduled, so I can spend time with friends and family this week. I will be hosting the family today for our traditional Christmas Day ... we keep it very casual and everyone loves it. The morning starts off with fruit salad with a white chocolate sauce and fresh home-made muffins. Food is put out and as family arrives they just dig in. Once everyone is here and fed, we will open gifts. We used to wait longer for this but with the Grandkids it's more fun to open them earlier in the day. Love watching the kiddo's - love love love.<br />
<br />
We don't cook a big turkey dinner - my brother looks after that on Christmas Eve. Here we have the Food Table. Ha! Lots of snacky things, with hot appy's throughout the day. We eat and visit and play and snack and then eat some more. Food is out for anyone to help themselves with whatever they want.<br />
<br />
I have the table all set with the serving dishes, and pretty paper plates & napkins. The kids used to laugh at me, but once they got old enough to help they appreciate this - and still do. Inside all the dishes is a little piece of paper with what food item goes in that bowl/plate/platter. The first people to arrive help me and we get the veggies/dip, crackers/cheeses/salami's served. Then, while they enjoy their breakfast I put out the rest of the goodies.<br />
<br />
If it's not too cold, everyone goes for a walk, sometimes more than one! This year, we have a chair lift so everyone (including my Mom and myself) can get down to the basement. We have a wonderful play-room set up for the Grandkids and they love to go down and play. There is a table and chairs set up near the play area so whoever wants to play a game, can. Hardly any dishes, once the prep work is done - it's an easy relaxing day for everyone.<br />
<br />
The family come dressed for comfort, and it's a happy day that we all spend together. One year we thought we'd be more traditional, and I cooked a turkey dinner instead of putting on the Food Table. While we enjoyed the meal - it was not the same and the vote to return to our way of celebrating Christmas Day was unanimous!<br />

Todays share is another Christmas Gift Card Holder I made using Karen Burniston's Sleigh Gift Card Holder.<br />

<br />
The large white scallops have been in my stash for years - they were Cricut pieces that weren't needed for whatever project I was working on at the time. They make me want to dig out my Cricut and cut some more!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
Earlier this year I found this scalloped card die - I believe it was at Michaels, but at any rate I had a coupon and had been feeling down in the dumps with my RA symptoms so this purchase cheered me up. I really like this set - it's supposed to have a drop in sentiment for the front, but I'm not crazy about that part. This scalloped card base with the eyelet overlay though? LOVE.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW2s8uOWEFM9DFQ5y0FvrNNz897H80RL2uZkvl3EtaOBU4X3NX2bl1EGCE7Dz_k0gU2FQam5m_OP9mguwyg07LN_WZwGJWffXD3RJqoMpxxRf2hlsn6gKqHrTUtbKGK4ZiyAZ8afSUC-M/s1600/Card_ScallopVintageCmas_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW2s8uOWEFM9DFQ5y0FvrNNz897H80RL2uZkvl3EtaOBU4X3NX2bl1EGCE7Dz_k0gU2FQam5m_OP9mguwyg07LN_WZwGJWffXD3RJqoMpxxRf2hlsn6gKqHrTUtbKGK4ZiyAZ8afSUC-M/s400/Card_ScallopVintageCmas_1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
In my quest to USE THINGS UP from my Christmas stash, I found this pretty crumpled piece of tissue paper with lovely gold highlights. There was just enough of it for this card! I added some 3-d Christmas stickers and a gold embossed sentiment on the front.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The inside got some decorations too.<br />

<div>
Today's share is a holiday card using Suzanne Cannon's beautiful calligraphy Merry Christmas die. I have a couple of these lovely dies and don't use them nearly enough - going to remedy that for sure.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu_45t_JtN6Aj7KhFSvtDmlrCW2t8B9KP4wCifQOA067riLynxExDcVlBRWxt2YMZamXw0tJ1EAvCsKJ9j2byXIqS8BUHYVdjfgRT_rpWyYdZZ-wEhRFSm1NEtc5cFSqmA7V5WBd8cz1Q/s1600/Card_ECD_MerryCmasCallig_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="303" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu_45t_JtN6Aj7KhFSvtDmlrCW2t8B9KP4wCifQOA067riLynxExDcVlBRWxt2YMZamXw0tJ1EAvCsKJ9j2byXIqS8BUHYVdjfgRT_rpWyYdZZ-wEhRFSm1NEtc5cFSqmA7V5WBd8cz1Q/s400/Card_ECD_MerryCmasCallig_1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The Elizabeth Craft Designs Pine Cone comes in two pieces - a base layer and an overlay. Here, the base layer was cut from gold mirror card stock and the overlay from brown. I had backed the brown card stock with their clear double sided adhesive which made it much easier to adhere.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdENq8NieQiCu33vlJqYG1ARvq0GBKa39dzrY93Uv7d0nc6CDh5snmskWKfM_KloV5ok-r_za0nWnFS57B-CkVOOW3Xi4_bVAB3Cqvyu7NIwuLQu0PMb4zgA75gywaPTApIwkSQ7DfbAk/s1600/Card_ECD_MerryCmasCallig_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdENq8NieQiCu33vlJqYG1ARvq0GBKa39dzrY93Uv7d0nc6CDh5snmskWKfM_KloV5ok-r_za0nWnFS57B-CkVOOW3Xi4_bVAB3Cqvyu7NIwuLQu0PMb4zgA75gywaPTApIwkSQ7DfbAk/s400/Card_ECD_MerryCmasCallig_2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The bow was tied from seam binding, so it does lay nice and flat for mailing.<br />

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
Using Things Up (otherwise known as Whittling Down The Stash) has been the name of the game for our holiday cards this year. These Polar Bear cards have been in progress for at least 4 years.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMjJBaOsGxT3PI4sB76gpXExDYWhyphenhyphenYkG6wc1C9krerdcyedsAy1e4SBjfPBl74WurWIR1cULeuZ-OVfuBwrS9iXQ6BKhdlezPMuHQzdlaS_w0Gbq8UMSgXvG944vILKyPVSmbpAc4_98/s1600/Card_Cricut_Cmas_Polar_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="305" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMjJBaOsGxT3PI4sB76gpXExDYWhyphenhyphenYkG6wc1C9krerdcyedsAy1e4SBjfPBl74WurWIR1cULeuZ-OVfuBwrS9iXQ6BKhdlezPMuHQzdlaS_w0Gbq8UMSgXvG944vILKyPVSmbpAc4_98/s400/Card_Cricut_Cmas_Polar_1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The Polar Bears were Cricut cut from the Joys of the Season cartridge, and I did the printed panel on the computer. To complete the cards, I simply assembled the polar bear layers and stamped a greeting on the white area of the panel. The panel was cut with a stitched panel Blueprints die and adhered to the A2 card fronts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2MldVPiS9b8X2FjW-yAXS14DqY6JOTEtEv3lSwUnQUUD9gmGxy6HmRAxyY-uQQ_NhPQL1C684UGa1UyYZSyKEVjzwfO2l_hQdXAbqtfsMgszPlfKpJby4aLu4x33d93QDewmLZti2SWo/s1600/Card_Cricut_Cmas_Polar_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="335" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2MldVPiS9b8X2FjW-yAXS14DqY6JOTEtEv3lSwUnQUUD9gmGxy6HmRAxyY-uQQ_NhPQL1C684UGa1UyYZSyKEVjzwfO2l_hQdXAbqtfsMgszPlfKpJby4aLu4x33d93QDewmLZti2SWo/s400/Card_Cricut_Cmas_Polar_2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The eyes and ears were dotted with a clear Glaze pen so they catch the light. I used the snowflakes from the All Season's Tree, which cut 3 at a time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I forgot to mention that I used the MISTI for the stamping. The MISTI makes it SO easy to quickly - and perfectly - stamp multiple images.</div>

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
I admit, I went a little overboard on this card. I should have been happy with the card front, but oh no - I have to also make it a Pop-up using the Twist Circle Pop-Up by Karen Burniston. When finished, the card weighed a lot with all the layers and foam tape - and I had to add extra postage on it. Lesson learned - but I AM really pleased with the finished card regardless.<br />
<br />
The card base is a larger card/envelope set from Michaels ... I love that with Pop it Ups YOU get to choose the size of card. I had been saving this sticker sheet to use on a card for my friend and the Lawn Fawn Leafy Backdrop seemed the perfect die to use with them. (SO happy I added that one to my collection).<br />
<br />

<br />
Below you can see the card as it is opening ...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggOTRUUT488YTHqTBw4YY9aLzDwHxXZSkd3g-MU9hXveb8FMU5ys0ekCW417RNaJeu9zSV5i7eXFuZ069ba3Vt_yLhbqnZKQMJHFTslbfSYmchS8KPU2M3b3qh19bXxvL-6kjeiFvn9yk/s1600/Card_PIU_TwstCir_RacoonWoods_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggOTRUUT488YTHqTBw4YY9aLzDwHxXZSkd3g-MU9hXveb8FMU5ys0ekCW417RNaJeu9zSV5i7eXFuZ069ba3Vt_yLhbqnZKQMJHFTslbfSYmchS8KPU2M3b3qh19bXxvL-6kjeiFvn9yk/s400/Card_PIU_TwstCir_RacoonWoods_3.JPG" width="341" /></a></div>
<br />
And here it is fully open - with a cute squirrel and log on the Pop-Up embellishment. I am adoring all the different plaid patterned papers that are so trendy right now, and this one has a bit of sparkle to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show this Spring, I picked up this Impression Obsession sprig set that cuts 6 little sprigs with one pass. I just knew it would come in handy and I've already used it a fair bit. Here I added some of the sprigs to one of the pine cone stickers on the sheet and an IO cardinal cut from red card stock touched with a Wink of Stella.</div>

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
It's <b style="background-color: #d0e0e3;">Flip-It Friday</b> here on my blog and I have three similar Flip-It Christmas cards to share.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxoSBBAjAnadpkHLfKcsfrXCywSqa8YBdm2xQjFhcVe9yYtS6TD7kQH3wXJVpdPvoNkWVHYXA1B4leaFyr2Ya82X8TTVM1RQOlRJ3gYt6xFcpNuLy5h_sG4Nk2sXpGlgKKnYihSwfkZ6o/s1600/Card_FlipItCmasFelt_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxoSBBAjAnadpkHLfKcsfrXCywSqa8YBdm2xQjFhcVe9yYtS6TD7kQH3wXJVpdPvoNkWVHYXA1B4leaFyr2Ya82X8TTVM1RQOlRJ3gYt6xFcpNuLy5h_sG4Nk2sXpGlgKKnYihSwfkZ6o/s400/Card_FlipItCmasFelt_1.JPG" width="357" /></a></div>

These are the felt stickers that were left over from a challenge card that required stitches or sewing on the card. I was able to use up these smaller pieces of patterned paper and the rest of the stickers for these cards. That always feels good.<br />

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
Today's share is another Christmas card using a Pop 'n Cut card base I cut a couple of years ago.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUPxqxBzOa0yFSz6EogFOMQwGDj6MubE3kgvaPGnlyY9sPvEKTjRK1qMEmDSBJlkxrr_PC3jaUqmYuXx6VZS8klHt_zToV7J9mND3muN_gXste3WkS8Bzh_5CTEkLGdTwdmBxqBharlbc/s1600/Card_PNC_Cmas_DeerBirch_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUPxqxBzOa0yFSz6EogFOMQwGDj6MubE3kgvaPGnlyY9sPvEKTjRK1qMEmDSBJlkxrr_PC3jaUqmYuXx6VZS8klHt_zToV7J9mND3muN_gXste3WkS8Bzh_5CTEkLGdTwdmBxqBharlbc/s400/Card_PNC_Cmas_DeerBirch_1.JPG" width="307" /></a></div>
<br />
I added a glitter Peel-Off border to the front, and there is additional sparkle and shine right on the patterned paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4N2EfCFpSNSwQO0A8cewu-xaJ0EU0ZVe4pageC9BAM7qNYbZCGKDbnbtfKRaAS17RfcdtLHnkVpXglnoZytrR6SUAKla_IarF7k_Db1hzerjMWwVPBU3mb7FKlS2KsXHW6pmUUz00K7g/s1600/Card_PNC_Cmas_DeerBirch_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4N2EfCFpSNSwQO0A8cewu-xaJ0EU0ZVe4pageC9BAM7qNYbZCGKDbnbtfKRaAS17RfcdtLHnkVpXglnoZytrR6SUAKla_IarF7k_Db1hzerjMWwVPBU3mb7FKlS2KsXHW6pmUUz00K7g/s400/Card_PNC_Cmas_DeerBirch_3.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Inside I added a brown die-cut deer to the Pop-Up portion, but no other decorations as I loved the tree printed paper and wanted it to take centre stage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
I have two nearly identical cards to share today. They were made from the same paper stack and have very similar insides. The only real difference is the tags on the front of each card are different - but also from the same paper stack. I added some Gold Peel-Off border stickers for some holiday sparkle as the patterned paper has gold foiled bits in it.<br />

<br />
Inside I used the Anita Frames Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs - this Pop-Up makes a really WOW card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0-Rdw0NCrJX1L0gPjb8fiQADn3O-qcBVle1p0t7IfnY719ca1DnypgfmDRMRdQgpTnN5yAogdeH_8HXxuOPAj6JjKqz4ShxZEouvNPA5siSC77AjUXr2h84Gugnj92lIo4eLd-vDbWpQ/s1600/Card_PIU_AnitaOrnamentDuo_13.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0-Rdw0NCrJX1L0gPjb8fiQADn3O-qcBVle1p0t7IfnY719ca1DnypgfmDRMRdQgpTnN5yAogdeH_8HXxuOPAj6JjKqz4ShxZEouvNPA5siSC77AjUXr2h84Gugnj92lIo4eLd-vDbWpQ/s400/Card_PIU_AnitaOrnamentDuo_13.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a gold ornament Peel-Off on Silk Microfine Glitter then added colour with Copic Markers. The ornament embellishment is so sparkly and pretty! Then I stamped one of Karen Burniston's new Holiday stamps on the other side.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZLbaWlqFkQAcC2ZLuXERxY0FyZ6wsKKx4zCZfj9IiUs1zbLZIvZvznpK_9h3b_p6DBt8t5y7aLrrG4fcIvuu81601WdKPiDBiL19x55UtsL4QCDvmYH8wVhWbmvkwo1Ij8kIMPhLPsc/s1600/Card_PIU_AnitaOrnamentDuo_14.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="352" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZLbaWlqFkQAcC2ZLuXERxY0FyZ6wsKKx4zCZfj9IiUs1zbLZIvZvznpK_9h3b_p6DBt8t5y7aLrrG4fcIvuu81601WdKPiDBiL19x55UtsL4QCDvmYH8wVhWbmvkwo1Ij8kIMPhLPsc/s400/Card_PIU_AnitaOrnamentDuo_14.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The Ring Frame Edges work as gold banners across the side edges, and I added gold Peel-Off borders as well.<br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Good morning friends</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">It's time for the Designer Challenge, and here is Karen B's challenge to the team: </span></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129;"> <b>"All I want for Christmas" - use your all-time favourite Pop it Ups die (the one you would want for Christmas if you didn't already own it) for a holiday card."</b></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129;"><br /></span>
</span><br />
<div style="orphans: 2; widows: 2;">
<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;">If you follow my blog, you know that my favourite </span><span style="font-size: 14px;">Pop it Ups die is the Spiral Circle Pull Card, followed closely by the Lorna Label Pop-Up. But for this challenge, I decided to use the die that I would want for Christmas if I didn't already have it ... the Sleigh Gift Card Pop-Up. This is SUCH a versatile die, and completely generic if you don't use the sleigh. The sleigh makes great tags and card embellishments as well as fitting perfectly on the Pop-Up if you want to make a winter themed Gift Card Holder</span></span></div>
<div style="orphans: 2; widows: 2;">

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
If you follow my blog, you may have noticed I rarely post cards in the order I make them. So when I pulled out that Snow Drifts Cover Plate that I'd barely used, this is the first card I made with it. I wanted to get a feel for how the die worked, so stuck to a mostly white card.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-CoMSoBfVosFwd71dAa9sSeCNaYjGudKq345tcRAiulcb8EwxRRVRUZ2yqjql9BQEij7JYa9DJc8O1cKwO09F6ycSeKm7fHfvh4CKTjBcdPGrInlBazQP2gKOizJgnr3nZNmH9xw5_vM/s1600/Card_CmasTreeScene_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-CoMSoBfVosFwd71dAa9sSeCNaYjGudKq345tcRAiulcb8EwxRRVRUZ2yqjql9BQEij7JYa9DJc8O1cKwO09F6ycSeKm7fHfvh4CKTjBcdPGrInlBazQP2gKOizJgnr3nZNmH9xw5_vM/s400/Card_CmasTreeScene_1.JPG" width="325" /></a></div>
<br />
The little tree layers comes on it's own little die (set of 3 trees for one easy pass) so I cut them from green card stock and inlaid them into the openings. They each got some glimmer using my Wink of Stella pen.<br />
<br />
Before attaching the layers to my card though, I ran the pieces through with a snowfall looking embossing folder to give the card a bit of texture.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1Vrf9RjI4NYWXDRrqGdYuL0nQ94DCp6RIUaQLzDAqdFGM-uJgBGhbSA3rNoDmJCP4SJF419X9jXY7oPjXqC7SxnaYTNqV4ICbeI_RVWbVtc4-gNQdvwj7GxLGeEfPqfztI2yVV9kv8U/s1600/Card_CmasTreeScene_3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1Vrf9RjI4NYWXDRrqGdYuL0nQ94DCp6RIUaQLzDAqdFGM-uJgBGhbSA3rNoDmJCP4SJF419X9jXY7oPjXqC7SxnaYTNqV4ICbeI_RVWbVtc4-gNQdvwj7GxLGeEfPqfztI2yVV9kv8U/s400/Card_CmasTreeScene_3.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
When I was finished, I was able to see some potential with this die and I hope to play with it a little more this holiday season.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: '"verdana"', sans-serif;">****NOTE: I have decided to move my cards and paper crafting to </span><b style="font-family: '"verdana"', sans-serif;"><a href="http://paintedmountaincards.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Painted Mountain Cards</a></b><span style="font-family: '"verdana"', sans-serif;"> in the New Year. I've been toying around with the idea for a long while, and this seems like a good time to make the change. I will leave this blog open, as there are frequent hits from Pinterest and over 5 years worth of cards etc to reference.</span><br />

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
Woo Hoo - even though it's a little later than I like, all 50 handmade cards are in the mail with the holiday letter. My Mom's 20+ handmade Christmas cards were given to her in late October, so that was crossed off the list already. I have done some card hand delivering and more to come but it's safe to say I've finished my Christmas Cards! It's always a big job - fun, but still a big job and I love when it's behind me.<br />
<br />
It's <b style="background-color: #d0e0e3;">Flip-It Friday</b> here on my blog, and I have a snowflake Christmas card to share today. This is one that was mailed out yesterday. And I still have Christmas cards to share here this month.<br />

One of the things I like about Flip-It's (in addition to how quick they are to make) is the opportunity to use up smaller pieces of patterned paper. This was the last bit of the sparkly blue patterned paper and I love using things up. The snowflake border is an older Sizzix die that I enjoyed pulling out again for this card.<br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">****NOTE: I have decided to move my cards and paper crafting to <b><a href="http://paintedmountaincards.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Painted Mountain Cards</a></b> in the New Year. I've been toying around with the idea for a long while, and this seems like a good time to make the change. I will leave this blog open, as there are frequent hits from Pinterest and over 5 years worth of cards etc to reference.</span><br />

Good morning friends<br />
<br />
I have decided to move my cards and paper crafting to <b><a href="http://paintedmountaincards.blogspot.ca/" target="_blank">Painted Mountain Cards</a></b> in the New Year. I've been toying around with the idea for a long while, and this seems like a good time to make the change. I will leave this blog open, as there are still a lot of hits from Pinterest and over 5 years worth of cards etc to reference.<br />
<br />
Onto today's share ...<br />
<br />
I have 4 gift tags to share today, made using the Hero Arts tag die. I've managed to use it a fair bit this season so definitely feel the purchase is justified.<br />
<br />
For these tags, I cut the tag from red card stock then adhered it to a slightly larger white stitched circle. 'To & From' was stamped on the back of the tags.<br />
<br />

<br />
Here is a close up of one of the tags. I stamped the words from Karen Burniston's Merry & Bright stamps on a Blueprints banner, and added some gold glitter dots. Gold is so trendy right now and I'm loving it.<br />
