Vintage Bunny Card Duo

Good morning friends

This Tim Holtz bunny die was one I HAD to have when it was released, then I didn't get a chance to use it last year for Easter. This year I managed a few cards with it and I am so happy I purchased it. It's so easy to change up the look of the bunny simply by swapping out the papers.

I also used another new purchase - the Fitted Frames Curvy Ovals and the Fitted Ovals by Els at Elizabeth Craft Designs. Glad I didn't wait too long to add these to my collection as they are very versatile.

Distress Stickles were used on the butterflies and bunny tails ... it gives such a pretty vintage look to the glitter.

1112 Fitted Frames 4, Curvy Ovals - Elizabeth Craft Designs
1114 Fitted Ovals - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Blueprints #1 - My Favorite Things
Bunny - Sizzix
Butterfly punch - Stampin' Up
Distress Stickles - Ranger

Grandkids Easter Card Trio

Good morning friends

I still have Easter cards to share, so will continue for most of this week. Then we can move onto something else.

These three cards were made for my parents to give our Grandkids. Didn't make Ilai a Passover card as I couldn't tell if it was appropriate or not. I'll chat with our daughter and find out for next year.

The graphics were printed onto glossy photo paper and fussy cut.

There was some glitter glue added  and the pattern paper has sparkly bits as well.

Happy Easter stamp - CC Designs

Easter Chick Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

I still have some Easter cards to share so here is a Pop-Up Chick Easter card. Remember when I said I had purchased some new Easter stamps? Well this little chick set is one of them - I think it's so cute!

I made it a Pop-Up using the Pop-Up platform that comes with the Barrel/Basket die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. It was so quick and easy to cut the little platform for the chick  to attach to.

The words and Jelly Beans are in the same set as the chick and I used some of that fun striped paper on the card as well.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Echo Park
Basket/Barrel Pop-Up - Pop it Ups -  Karen Burniston - Elizabeth Craft Designs
White card stock
Stitched border - My Favourite Things
Coloured Pencils - Tri Tone, Koh I Noor

Peeps Easter Card Duo

Good morning friends

I broke down this year and bought some new Easter stamps. And I'm loving them! These cute Peeps stamps are from the Simon Says Stamp March 2016 Card Kit. I've never bought one of their card kits before and I was very impressed with the value. Plus, those Peeps are just TOO CUTE!

I went over the Peeps with a Wink of Stella then just played around with different layouts. I have a little baggie of stamped and die cut Peeps ready for next year - or whoever I think a Peep might be needed. Ha!

Funny story about this striped paper. I ordered 2 sheets because there are clouds on the reverse side and it didn't matter to me that there were stripes on the back. I wanted the clouds. Well when I got the paper and flipped it over I was immediately torn. How could I possibly waste the clouds and use the pretty stripes? But how could I use the stripes and waste the clouds? Oh, what's a stamper to do? Yup - order several more sheets so now I have a couple of sheets to use for clouds and a couple of sheets to use for stripes. Because I LOVE these stripes!

Some quick pen-work inside with a swipe of Pan Pastels chalk.

Supplies:
White card stock
Striped patterned paper - Echo Park
Yellow floral patterned paper - American Crafts
Agatha Edges, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stitched Vertical Strips - My Favorite Things
Peeps stamps and dies - Simon Says Stamps
Blueprints #12
Stickles
Green card stock - Recollections
Words inside - Stamps of Life
Wink of Stella

C4C329 Purple Iris Sticker Easter Card

It's Saturday, and that means there is a new challenge on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our March Hostess is  Frances Byrne and the Guest Designer for March is Sandy Diller.

Here is Frances' challenge:  According to the Days of the Year web site the 26th March is Purple Day.  Purple Day is a celebration aimed at raising worldwide awareness of epilepsy, a condition that affects over 65 million people globally. For our challenge this week include the color purple in your creations.

Of course, I like purple for Pulmonary Hypertension as well. Here is my card - perfect for Spring.

The inside is blank in the photo below, but I wrote a message inside the card. The little purple iris is a punch I've had for many years.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C329.

Easter Bunny Center Step Card

Good morning friends

You can see I've been getting lots of use out of my birthday present, an A2 Centre Step die!

This printed embellishment was the perfect size to mount to the centre portion, and I used the Outdoor Edges to cut grass for the bottom strip. The bunny has glitter added to her ears and the egg for some Easter Sparkle.

Here is a peek at the inside. I purchased the Lawn Fawn stamp and die set at the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show - the words and egg inside are from that set.

Supplies:
A2 Centre Step die - Sizzix
Orange card stock - Bazzill
Embellishment and patterned paper - Echo Park
Outdoor Edges, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Seam binding
Fun foam

Easter Bunny Trio of Cards

Good morning friends

I have a trio of (nearly identical) cheerful Easter cards to share today ...

I used the Outdoor Edges for grass, and the new Stage it Stencils for the clouds - both by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. The bunnies have Distress Stickles on the bow and on their tails. I decided I like the Distress Stickles enough to buy more - it has such a pretty, vintage look to the glitter.

I didn't get a chance to use that bunny die last year for Easter, so these were actually the first Easter cards I made this year.
Supplies:
Bunny die - Tim Holtz (Sizzix)
Stickles
Blueprints #1 - My Favorite Things
Outdoor Edges, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Partly Cloudy, Stage it Stencils - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Fun Foam
Looks like iI didn't make a note of who makes the patterned paper. Oops!
Words inside - Stampin' Up

Card size - A2

Bunny Shaker Card

Good morning friends

I have a fun Easter Shaker card to share today.

I use this Blueprints #23 set quite a bit, but rarely use the 3 circle cut-out part of the die. However, since I had a sweet package of sequins from the March 2016 Simon Says Card Club kit I decided to put them to use and create a shaker with the 3 circles. Haven't made a shaker in ages!

I added some hand lettering to the inside ...

Supplies:
White card stock
Bunny dies - Impression Obsession
Blueprints #23 - My Favorite Things
Patterned paper - Authentique
Fun foam
Uni pin fine point pen
Sequins - Simon Says Stamp March 2016 Card Kit
Clear envelope/bag
Hand lettering

Missing You Coffee Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

My card share today is for the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. Looks like there are some pretty great coffee themed cards to see and some AMAZING prizes too!

The front of the card has embossed coffee beans (embossing folder by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs) and a To Go Coffee Cup I'd wanted for awhile. I was able to buy the cup stamps with my birthday money!

The cup was paper pieced and fussy cut, then I added a die cut 'wishing' with the stamped words from Simon Says Stamps.

Inside I made it a Pop-Up, using the little Pop-Up platform from the Hot Air Balloon Pop-Up. The cup and steam are from the Cup Pop Stand - both sets by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I picked up a package of doily's to use for Valentine's cards, but I just seem to keep finding uses for them. More embossed coffee beans inside and a stitched scalloped border from My Favorite Things.

The stamped words and Hugs die are by Papertrey Ink. I just love those die cut coffee beans that come with the Cup Pop Stand.

This card is one I sent to my friend Sue - we pop something in the mail to each other on the first of each month. This is the card I sent to her for March 1st. Only I was late, ha ha.

I hope you check out the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - tons of inspiration there!

C4C328 Sketch

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means there is a new challenge on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our March Hostess is  Frances Byrne and the Guest Designer for March is Sandy Diller. Since  it's the third Saturday of the month, we have a sketch challenge:

I flipped the sketch so I could use my new A2 Centre Step die. Have to say I'm having a lot of fun with this one.

Funny story. I bought the Jelly Bean patterned paper because there are bright and cheerful Easter Eggs on the front. I actually went 'eeeeew' when I saw this print on the back side. When I get a new die I often do a test cut as I'm excited to see how it looks. This test cut was from the yellow card stock I had nearby. I couldn't believe how nicely the Jelly Bean print looked with the yellow card base. I had to take back my 'eeeeew'.

Here is a look at the inside ...

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C328.

Supplies:
Centre Step die - Sizzix
Yellow card stock - Stash
Seam binding
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Sticker - Craft N Craftin'
White card stock
Stitched scallop border - MFT
