Spring Chicken Birthday Card

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog, and I have an older card to share that I made out of bits and pieces I had on my stamping table. Often when I get a new die, I will do a test cut. That is how this card came about.

The card went into my donation bin for Seniors Secret Service.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Embossed Birthday Cards

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog and I have a group of older birthday cards to share that I donated to Seniors Secret Service.

The burgundy panels were cut from an embossed 12 x 12" sheet of card stock, and swiped with a silver pigment ink pad.

Inside I used some Peel-Off's that were (and still are) in my stash.

Pricilla is 105!

Good morning friends

I was honoured to make this card for Seniors Secret Service ... a 105th Birthday card for Pricilla! I wanted something bright and cheery, and of course it's a Pop-Up card.

The Lorna Label is probably my second favourite Karen Burniston Pop it Ups die - so it was the first one I thought of when I started making this card.

It was fun to use the stitched banner die as well - it is perfect for birthday cards, and I added it to my die collection early this Spring.

The flowers & leaves are part of a Blueprints die set ... never really thought I'd use them. I use the rest of the Blueprints quite often but the flowers were perfect to use with this patterned paper!

Here is a side view so you can see the Pop-Up portion a little better - the box platform at the base of the Lorna Label is a great place to tie a ribbon!

Supplies:
Lorna Label Pop-Up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Double Sided Tape, 1/4" width
Patterned paper - My Minds Eye
Cream card stock
Green card stock - Papertrey Ink
Yellow and red card stock - Stampin' Up
Stitched banner die - La-La Land Crafts
Blueprints #12  - My Favorite Tings
Card size - 5 x 5"

104th Birthday Card

Good morning friends

I have a special birthday card today, one I donated to Seniors Secret Service for a lady named Violet, who was turning 104.

The floral patterned paper has a soft, felt finish and gold foiled bits. Beautiful stuff.

I added a stitched oval to the inked label, and a 3-d butterfly sticker to the oval. The front was done - I made it a Pop-Up card and for those I like to keep my fronts fairly simple.

Inside I used the Lorna Label Pop-Up, which is my second favourite Karen Burniston card die. I know I use it a lot, but that's because it's so versatile!

I hope Violet had a wonderful day.

Supplies:
Lorna Label Pop-up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
White card stock
Foiled patterned paper - stash
Stitched scallop edge - My Favorite Things
Row of hearts die - Lawn Fawn
Butterfly embellishments - K & Company
Stitched Oval - My Favorite Things
Happy Birthday - My Favorite Things

Birdhouse Birthday Cards

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and I have a trio of Birthday Cards to share that I am donating to Seniors Secret Service.

I used patterned paper cut down to fit three 4 x 6" card bases, and added a little stamped banner on the fronts.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

I'm working away at whittling down some of my older card stacks. I would just work on one until it's used up, but then when I photograph the cards they all end up looking the same. So - I just pick away at them randomly. :-)

Supplies:
Patterned paper - DCWV
White card stock
Words on front - Taylored Expressions
Blueprints #12 (Banner) - MFT
MISTI
Bird stamp - TAWS
Happy Birthday Stamp - Avery Elle
Copic markers

I cut the 'happy birthday' from a sheet of laser cut paper, and ended up getting 6 cards out of a single sheet. Three are shown here.
