Hot Tub Anniversary Card

I have a humorous Anniversary card to share today ... made for my brother & sister in law.  They travel a fair bit and always enjoy the hot-tubs where they stay.

The hot-tub and naked people stamps are images I've had for years - they are from Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers, and it's fun to pull them out once in awhile. I added a punched heart on the Mr. so as not to offend people.  :-)  The sun stamp is hand carved, and the words are from The Stamps of Life ... the 'anniversary2celebrate' set.

The inside of the card is more subtle, using my Pop 'N Cuts with the Funky Label insert & Hearts Movers & Shapers.

The floating hearts were punched using a Stampin' Up punch, then attached behind the pop up platform with narrow strips of transparency. A fun look and one I will use again!

More words from the 'anniversary2celebrate' set were stamped on a Sizzix label that was attached to the inside.

Oh, and for the record my in-laws look NOTHING like the couple on the front.  I hear they had a wonderful anniversary, and I hope they enjoyed a chuckle when their card arrived in their mailbox.

(Remember you that you can always see my Sizzix Flip-it and Pop N Cut cards by looking on the right side of my blog under LABELS then scrolling down to the 'S' section. I have also added a Stamps of Life category).

Unusual Anniversary Card

Friends of the family are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary, and my parents wanted me to make a card for the occasion.  Here's where it get's tricky. This couple is very outdoorsy and down to earth. The selection of 50th anniversary cards in a card shop is fairly limited, and I wanted to make a personalized card that reflected their taste.

Enter the Tim Holtz 'Tree Line' die.  I am just tickled at how well this card came out - while it's unusual for most anniversary couples, it's just PERFECT for E & J.  And my Mom was thrilled with it.

I wanted to get the card to my parents right away, but I hadn't taken a picture of it yet. So - yesterday when I had my Mom out for errands, I took a picture in my vehicle with my phone.  At least it gives you an idea of the card, but not the shimmer & shine.  :-)  The card is a larger one, measuring 6-1/2 x 5".

I cut the trees twice, out of gold foil embossed patterned paper by K&Co. The '5 and the '0' were cut from bronze Stardream, which is a lovely heavyweight & pearlized card stock. I added some brown gems and two white card stock hearts.

Inside and on the envelope, I used another of my new stamp sets from 'The Stamps Of Life' ... called anniversary2celebrate.  Such a nice set, with several different verses to go inside Anniversary cards which are not easy to find. I LOVE this set!

I added another panel of bronze Stardream since the card is being hand delivered at a party and doesn't need to go through the mail, weight wasn't an issue.

I love it when a card comes together like this one did, especially when I know how much the recipient(s) will enjoy it.

Anniversary Birds

(Remember you that you can always see my Sizzix Flip-it and Pop N Cut cards by looking on the right side of my blog under LABELS and scrolling down to the 'S' section

This is the third card I made using the same paper stack. I talked about that in Tuesday's Post,  how most of the designs are just too big for card making. At least I found them to be too big until I tried them with my Sizzix Pop N Cut dies!

The embellishment on the front of the card is by K&Co, and has pretty copper accents.

I used a full sheet of 12x12" paper for this one, half for the front and half for the inside. The center is the standard label Pop N Cut insert that comes with the A2 base, embellished with a die cut heart and another piece from the K&Co package that says 'Love is Forever'.

I will stamp the fancy label (also Sizzix) with a 'Happy Anniversary' stamp when I go to send the card.

"I Love You" Anniversary Card

I made my hubby a 4x9" Anniversary card this year, featuring a sparkly red single word (love) from a paper stack I've had for awhile.

I used a black linen business sized envelope, and embossed the left side with a 'Love Hearts' embossing folder.  I added a little colour with a red pencil, and attached a patterned die-cut label from K&Co.

The "I" on the outside, and the "U" on the inside were Cricut cut ... but I cannot remember what cartridge I used. It was one that didn't have the shadow option though, so I cut each one out of red and out of black then off-set them.

The words are a little sappy, but we have had to spend some time apart due to travel these past couple of months and I'm feeling a little sappy.  :-)

Another Love Gift Card Holder

I made a little gift card holder using the seed packet die from Papertrey Ink. I used a 2 sided printed paper, and fussy cut an embellishment out of the same papaer stack.

This is the perfect size to tuck into an A2 card, and will be going to our Daughter and Son-In-Law with the card I shared yesterday.

Bird Anniversary Card

I used a Sizzix die to make this A2 sized Anniversary Card:

The paper wasn't all that sturdy, so I lined the inside with embossed panels...

I also added a little pop-up panel as a little surprise to the inside.

This Sizzix die is so handy - I like the little rounded flap that tucks into the round slit to keep it closed.

Love Gift Card Holder

This is the gift card holder I added to our Daughter and Son-in-Law's Anniversary card:

I used a Sizzix die to cut the A2 card out of 2-sided scrapbook paper - I love the way it holds a gift card that is still on it's cardboard backing. You just tuck the gift card inside and fold up the card, tucking in the flap.

I wrapped a piece of chipboard with crumpled tissue to create the little gift embellishment, and the word 'love' is a rub-on.

Valentine Anniversary Card

Happy Valentine's Day!  Today is also my parents wedding anniversary, so I wanted to share the card I made for them.

It's a 5x7" card, in a lovely buttery yellow with a matching envelope. I used an embossing folder to add texture to the envelope for a little touch of elegance and there are lots of layers and dimension the card as it was hand delivered.  I used the same rose sticker on THIS anniversary card, although that card was much more CAS (Clean And Simple).

I layered up the inside as well, using some of the same sparkly red paper. I punched hearts out of the cream panel so the red sparkle shows through in those areas.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

Card for Dynamic Duo #36

I am going to need a couple of wedding anniversary cards this month, so decided to play along with the Dynamic Duo challenge this week and make one of them.

The 'Dessert Option' was to make it a Valentine Theme but since I have all the Valentine cards I will need this year I am opting out of dessert. Ha! I don't say that very often.

I had these rose stickers in my stash - and they work well on cards that will be hand-delivered. Looking at the photo, it looks like the red panel should have been embossed with a texture folder but it is actually a lovely red linen so there is texture that doesn't show in the low-res web photo.

Now, to make a gift card holder to go with the card!
