Buzzard Card

I made this card for my Father-in-Law, who is celebrating a birthday this month. He is going to shake his head when he see's it but I know he will secretly enjoy it.  :-)

I used the Cricut cartridge "Life's A Party" for the buzzard/ card/ panels and Home Accents for the branch. I cut an extra black base so I could add lots of foam tape since I was hand delivering the card. Edges were inked as well. I didn't deviate too much for the colours in the handbook as they were pretty cute!

The background clouds were sponged on with a dye ink pad and a hand cut template and black glitter glue was added on the one eyeball that is showing. This fellow just cracks me up.
Here is a peek at the inside:

I cut a 2nd white panel (which had to be flipped with the Gypsy if I remember correctly, so the ridges would line up) to add inside, and yes -- that is the Tim Holtz tree die. Sigh. I passed it up numerous times last year, and this year it jumped into my cart all by itself. Hey - if a die wants to come to live at my house that badly, who am I to argue?  ;-)

I am entering this 5x7" card into the 'Vulture' challenge (Vulture / Buzzard ... close enough) at the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. Yeah! I haven't had a chance to participate over there in a long time.

Thanks for stopping by today!
