Purple and Pumpkin Halloween Flip-It

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Halloween Flip-Its card to share today. I had a couple of smaller pieces of this fun Halloween print paper leftover, and they fit perfectly on the card.

The Trick Or Treat piece was trimmed from a different paper in the package, and I adhered an enamel dot on the end. The pumpkin embellishment is from my stash.

Inside I used one of Karen Burniston's Halloween Clear Stamps.

This card will be put away until Halloween 2017, but I didn't want to hang onto the pictures for a year.

Supplies:
Purple card stock
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Pumpkin - K & Company
Square Flip-Its - Sizzix
Halloween Clear Stamps, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Enamel Dot

Card size - standard A2

Pumpkin Penny Spinner Card

Good morning friends

Yesterday, fellow Designer Challenge Teammate Raquel Mason came up with the coolest Spinner/Slider card using the Ring Accordion. So brilliant! As soon as she showed us, I couldn't get it out of my head and had to try one of my own.

Raquel shared her card with the Designer Challenge Team a few weeks ago, and since I had Halloween on the brain I immediately went for a Halloween Spinner. I didn't think about the timeline,  or I wouldn't have made it in this theme. However, it will still work just fine and I can put it aside for Halloween 2017!

First I cut two Ring Accordion's from black card stock and adhered them together for stability. Raquel left her pivoting tabs on so she could have two separate slider/spinners (see? Brilliant!!) but since this was just a sample I cut the centre portion completely away and trimmed all the tabs. That means the pumpkin spins all the way around the 'track'.

I could't help myself and added wiggly eyes to the pumpkin embellishment. His toothy grin got the Glaze Pen treatment so they are nice and shiny in the light. So fun.

I don't know to do little video's for my blog, but here is another photo showing the pumpkin spinning around - he rolls so smoothly with the help of pennies.

Here is a peek at the inside. I just love that patterned paper with the multicoloured eyes. The 'Spooky' is a die cut embellishment, and it's actually glossy black which doesn't show up at all in the photo.

Now that I have this Penny Spinner/Slider card done, I have all kinds of ideas on others. It's been ages since I made one and I've been itching to do another slider card for the last little while. Raquel's idea to use the Ring Accordion was just what I needed. Considering this was just going to be the prototype, it ended up making a cute finished card!

Cute Halloween Card Duo

Good morning friends

After I made the Halloween cards for three of our Grandkids, I knew I had to make cards for the other two as well. Only Grandbaby #5 isn't due until next month so it felt a little funny making the card. Then it felt funny to not make her a card. So I went with making a card for the babe without adding her will-be name or anything too personal.

Again, I cut pre-printed panels from the paper stack (Boos & Brews) and adhered them to card bases. This scientist one is SUCH a perfect image for Ilai. I added the same glaze pen treatment to the panels for some shiny bits as on the first three (see November 1st post for those).

And here is babe's ... the Hi Pumpkin was fussy cut from a sheet of paper in the stack and one end was notched. Then it was popped up with fun foam.

Into my stash for next year. That's 5 of the 10 Halloween Cards I'll need to make for the grandkids done.

Supplies:
White card stock - Bazzill
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Fun Foam
Glaze Pen - Sakura
Labels and Circles, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Tombow Markers
Black find point marker

Card size - 4-1/2 x 6" and standard A2

Cute Halloween Card Trio

Good morning friends

Yes, I know Halloween is over. But I wanted to make some quick Halloween cards with this ADORABLE paper pack by Doodlebug (Boos and Brews) before I put everything away.  And I didn't want to hold onto the photos in the file for an entire year. These will be our Halloween cards for three of our Grandkids next year.

Eek - these printed panels from the package were just too cute not to use. I simply cut them to size and attached them to card bases.

I did add a glaze pen detailing though so there are some nice shiny bits on the cards.

Also the inside is personalized for each of them.

The 'Can I Be Frank?' word strip was trimmed from a sheet of patterned paper in the same stack and popped up with fun foam. Honestly, how CUTE is that Frankenstein?

And here's the third card ...

It's been awhile since I've found some Halloween paper that I really enjoyed using and I REALLY enjoyed using this one.

Supplies:
White card stock - Bazzill
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Glaze pen - Sakura
Labels and Circles, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Tombow Markers
Black fine point marker
Fun Foam

Card size - 4-1/2 x 6"
