Mini Card Set

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog and I have a trio of 3x3 Mini cards to share today. I had a bit of patterned paper leftover from a different project, and I've had these scalloped envelopes and cards for years so grabbed them to finish the set.

Here are the gift tags all packaged up and ready for gift giving. I put them in one of my girl's Christmas stockings that year.

Remember the amazing Elizabeth Craft Designs give-away I posted on Monday! Click HERE to see my Purple Zebra Card and the details on how you can win Karen Burniston's Barn Pop Stand, Fence Pop Stand, Western Edges and Cocoa the Horse die sets. Hoofbeats don't always mean horses - sometimes they mean zebra's. Using Bits and Pieces

I have a Quick and Easy Christmas card to share today, as well as three mini cards (3x3").  I found a couple of these pretty patterned paper scraps while working on a different card, and decided to use them while they were in my hand.

The (A2) card is going into my Mom's Christmas pile, as she likes Christmas cards with colour. Yesterday she told me that she doesn't like the phrase 'Seasons Greetings', so I will have to find a nice 'Merry Christmas' among my stamps to use for any others I make for her.

There is a bit of glitter or shimmer on either the embellishment or the patterned paper on the mini-cards. There is just something about the small square size that really appeals to me!

Christmas Card for January Recipe Challenge

This weeks challenge at '52 Christmas Card Throwdown' is a recipe challenge:  Use patterned paper and glitter, AND decorate the inside of your card.  I made a 6.5 x 5" card, and a 3x3" mini card.

I used a glittered chipboard package bow, and the patterned paper is also glittery.  :-)

I decorated the inside of the card as well, but didn't take a picture! I'll have to take a picture of it with my cell phone later and update the post.

EDITED:  Here is a picture of the inside ... a little blurry.

I didn't decorate the inside of the mini card, just the outside (with another glittery chipboard sticker) and the envelope.

Merry Monday #45 Sketch Cards

I wanted to play along with the latest Merry Monday sketch at Always Playing With Paper

I made one card (6.5 x 5"), and a mini card/gift enclosure (3x3").  Both envelopes have some holly embossing on them.

For the large card, I embossed a white panel with a birch tree embossing folder and attached it to the front of the card.

I used a holly embossing folder to emboss the left side of the envelope:

And here is a peek at the inside:

I have a bunch of envelopes that fit a 3x3" mini card, so thought it was time to crack open the package.  The envelope flap and white panel were embossed with the holly embossing folder.

Another card for my Christmas Card 2013 stash - and a start on my mini-card collection too!
