Christmas Tags

Good morning friends!

Instead of keeping these photos hanging around on my computer for the next 11 months or so, I'm sharing some Christmas tags today.

These were simple to make ... I die cut some pretty red & white snowflake paper and white card stock with a tag die, then attached them back to back. I like how nice and thick this makes the tag, and any writing you do on the back doesn't show through.

The label was stamped then punched with the coordinating punch, and the sparkly ornament embellishments were added with foam tape.

I had a strip of this sparkling striped paper leftover, so made this tag as well ...

Even with all the beautiful Christmas tags I had in my stash, I used these ones up first. :-)

Supplies used:
Tag die - Sizzix
Patterned paper - from my scrap pile
Label stamp and coordinating punch - Stampin' Up
Embellishments - K&Co
Merry Christmas stamp - Hero Arts

Shimmery Poinsettia Card & Tag

Good morning friends ... todays share is an A2 sized card and tag.  The patterned paper panel (K&Co) has this beautiful pearlized finish to it and the sparkly poinsettia sticker is also by K&Co.

Quick and easy, and already on their way to their recipients.

Four Chipboard Christmas Tags

Good morning friends.  I have a quick post today ...  Christmas tags made using chipboard stickers:

The chipboard sticker embellishments came from the Dollar Store, and I layered them with various die cuts, card stocks, ribbon bits and other goodies from my stash to create these four tags.

The 'for You' stamp is by MFT ...

Christmas Tags with Stitched Framelits

As soon as I opened the packages of Karen Burniston's Labels & Stitched Frame dies, I just knew the largest ones would make beautiful tags.

For this first tag, I cut red Stardream with the largest tag in the Circle and Stitched Labels package. I rotated the die 90 degrees, traced the edge with a pencil, and trimmed the bottom 'arm' off to create  this lovely ornament shape. Easy Peasy!

I ran the ornament shape through the Big Shot using Karen's 'Trellis & Swirls" embossing folder - the beautiful texture shows up so nicely on the pearlized Stardream. I cut a 2nd Circle Label from white card stock, and used the coordinating stitch die to add the pretty stitching lines.  I stamped the 'TO & FROM' before attaching it to the red tag base.

The poinsettia was die cut from Stampin' Up's Glimmer paper (gold for the flower and red for the flower center). I also added a gold glitter paper punched circle to the top of the tag using a regular hole punch and punched through both layers with a tiny hole punch. That gave me a place to thread the bakers twine.

For my second tag, I broke out that BEAUTIFUL red Glimmer Paper. I just love that paper and have it in all three colours.  I die cut the tag base using the largest Sassy Label Framelit.

My favourite die in the Sassy Label set is the smallest one - it's just so versatile!  I folded it in half and attached it over the top of the tag to give me a loop for threading the twine through.

I cut another, smaller Sassy Label from white card stock and added the stitching with the coordinating die. To make the stitching lines pop a little, I went over them with my Sakura glitter pen - that is fast, it takes just seconds as the stitch lines are already there for you. Then I stamped the words and added the white label to the red glittery one.

I layered on some pretty K&Co Christmas stickers and added some Stickles.

This is one SPARKLING tag - perfect for the holidays and so quick to make with dies!

Ornament Shaped Christmas Tags

Good morning friends!

Today's share is a group of Christmas tags ...

Each tag was cut twice, once from sparkly patterned paper and once from plain white card stock. They were attached together back to back, and the 'To/From" was stamped on the white side.

Each tag was embellished with some punched pieces and 3-d stickers from my Christmas Embellishment Stash.  I used red Bakers Twine for the tag string and ... done!

I didn't really keep track of the supplies I used for this one -- the Christmas Ornament die is a Tim Holtz one (Sizzix), and the stickers are by K&Co. In real life, the tags are nice and sparkly and have a nice 'heft' to them due to the double layers.

Snowman Gift Tags

Good Morning Friends!

Today is a happy day - Daylight Savings Time ends. YAY!  (I am NOT a fan of DST).

Today's share is a trio of Snowman tags. While visiting Arizona in the Spring, I added (ahem) quite a few Sizzix dies to my collection. This tag die (Tags #3) is one that has gotten quite a work out in my studio - I really like the size of the tags. Not too big and not too small, and you have a coice for the top shape either traditional angled sides or the semi-circle.

.

After putting away a stack of Christmas papers, I discovered this one left out. Instead of digging through all the papers to put it where it belongs, I decided to cut some tags with it and here are the first three...

The little snowman was inked with grey and the details were added with markers before stamping onto scraps of white card stock. It didn't take very long to fussy cut these little guys out, either! A stamped label was punched out with the coordinating punch, 'To & From' added to the back side then the label & snowman were popped up with different heights of foam tape.

Supplies used:
Tag #3 die - Sizzix
Merry Christmas stamp - Hero Arts
Snowman and label stamp - Stampin' Up
Snowman stamp - Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper - from my stash
Bakers Twine

Christmas Light Tags

I have a trio of Christmas tags to share today ... using this month's club set at Stephanie Barnards 'The Stamps Of Life'.

The set is called 'lights4Christmas' ... I stamped them with Momento black ink, coloured the centers with markers, painted them with glue then sprinkled on chunky glitter. The ornament tops were coloured with a gold metallic marker.  Once the glitter was dry I fussy cut the lights out. Next time, I'll do the cutting BEFORE the glittering.  :-)

After attaching a strip of glittery patterned paper onto the Sizzix die cut tags, I popped up the Christmas lights.  The little Merry Christmas banners are also in the set, I stamped them on scrap card stock, trimmed them and attached them to the tags with Dimensionals. So they are popped up, but not as high as the lights.

To & From were stamped on the back of the tags before I attached the Christmas Lights and I tied Bakers Twine at the top.

Snowman Christmas Tags

I saw a few versions of these cute snowman tags on Pinterest, but I don't know who came up with the idea originally. Whoever it was -- thanks so much for sharing!

The hats are made using a fancy square punch, the Modern Label punch and the Two Tag Die - all Stampin' Up.  I used a holly punch and cardinal punch (both Martha Stewart) on three of the snowmen ...

... and the same holly punch but a cardinal sticker on the other three. I just could not bring myself to use SIX of these sweet stickers all at once.  Haha, just when I think I have my hoarding under control.  :-)

When they were finished, I thought they were SO cute and I wanted to try one with a Sizzix Top Hat die.  It turned out cute too, but I think I like the punched/pieced hat better so I only made one of these ones.

All the face stamps are by Peachy Keen and the 'To & From" are by MFT.

Finally I tried them without a hat altogether!

Sparkly JOY Christmas Tags

W O W !!!     My 'Shades of Green' Christmas card took Top Honours at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Blog.   Wow!  Thanks ladies - thanks very much for liking my card enough to choose it.

While I was cutting ornaments for Christmas cards, I decided to make a couple of gift tags too.

Each tag was cut twice ... the first (top) layer was cut out of red & white sparkly paper with the word JOY cut out of the top.  The remaining layer was cut from white cardstock and attached to the sparkly ornament.  "To & From" are stamped on the back side.

I added red Bakers Twine so the tags can be tied onto a gift bag as well as a package.
