Christmas Card In A Box and a Puppy Gift

Good morning friends

Today's share is the Christmas card I made for friends and hand delivered along with a coordinating little gift for their furry kids. After the photos were taken, I penned our message on the back circle.

This is a card that looks way better in real life, when the light catches the gold foiled bits on the patterned paper.

I packaged it in a clear envelope - and in this photo you get a better look at the foiled bits.

I actually use the 'Get A Handle On It' die often, but don't usually take photos. This time I remembered. I packaged up some treats in a clear envelope decorated with Washi Tape, then added the patterned paper topper and tag.

Butterfly and Flowers Flip-It Birthday Card

Good morning friends!

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog ...

I was happy to see how nicely the butterfly from the Pop it Ups Butterfly Pivot fit on the Majestic Flip-It die. It's nice and dimensional, but still lightweight. It will be going into my donation box for Seniors Secret Service.

I like to add a punched label inside my Flip-It cards, so they will have a place to add a signature - but it's hidden from view when the card is closed.

I thought I would also share the packaging I did when I brought my Dental Hygenist her gift of Flip-It Cards.   I put them in a cellophane envelope, and used the 'Get a Handle On It' die to make the little handle and ribbon. I used paper from from the same paper stack as the cards so it all coordinated, and Anne just LOVED them.

Supplies used
Majestic Flip-It die - Stephanie Barnard (Sizzix)
Majestic 2 Framelits - Stephanie Barnard (Sizzix)
Patterned paper - Dovecraft
White card stock
Birthday words - Just Rite
Label punch - Stampin' Up
Butterfly (body, lacy overlay, base layer) - 767 Butterfly Pivot Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Strawberry Candy

I have a quick post today ... pictures of a little bag of candy I brought out to our Grandkids on Ethan's first birthday.  Olivia LOVES marshmallow candy!  I thought if she had something sweet that she could help pass out to the family as well as enjoy herself, her brother getting loads of presents would be less traumatic.  ;-)

Rather than bringing just the bag of candy, I decorated it with the Papertrey Ink die 'Get A Handle On It'.  I have so much fun with this die!

The die set comes with the handle die, which folds over the top of the candy bag - and the little banner die. (I often just cut and use the banner die on my cards.)  I also punched out a white label (Stampin' Up) and added one of those fun K&Co 3-d monkey stickers.

Easy peasy, but way more fun than just bringing a plain bag of candy.

Handled Bag

I have made several of these, but didn't take pictures. This time I remembered!  I bought the Papertrey Ink die set 'Get A Handle On It' and I really like it!  This time I used it over a glassine bag that held some pretty earrings for my Mom.

It's hard to see in the photo - but the paper is all embossed flowers - it's so pretty! I attached a little paper rose on the flag banner.

I've also used a paw print patterned paper and attached them over a bag of dog treats for a friend, and flower printed paper over a package of candy ... both packages were unwrapped except for the little handle/banner.   It dressed up these items without making them a real gift. Both times they were just a little something I was bringing with me and a gift would have been 'too much'. But it was more fun than than just handing my friends the packages of candy or dog treats.

As you can see, it also dresses up a little gift bag but it would also work on pretty floral envelopes etc!
