St. Patrick's Day Gatefold Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is a Birthday card I made for a friend who's birthday is today, St. Patrick's Day.

I used my new Gatefold/Diorama die for this card - I was just itching to try it out and a Birthday card seemed the perfect opportunity. Here is the card in the closed position - I chose to add a ribbon tie (it's completely optional) and added the scalloped circles from Karen Burniston's Ring Accordion as a base for metallic shamrock stickers.

Inside is Poppy the Owl - all decked out for St. Patrick's Day! He's wearing a Leprechaun hat from Lawn Fawn's 'Hat's Off To You" set. The words in the set are easy to combine - where else would I be able to find a "Happy St. Patrick's Day Birthday" stamp? I added a stamp from the Lucky Birthday Clear Stamps by Karen Burniston, because I really do count myself lucky that she is my friend.

Oh, and did I mention that Poppy the Owl is on an Action Wobble? Totally fun.

Supplies:
Gatefold/Diorama die set - Sizzix (NOTE: Packaging indicates that you need a die cut machine larger than the Big Shot for this set, but you do not. I purchased it because I have a larger machine (Crossover) but it worked just fine in my Big Shot with the Extended Platform.)
White card stock
Green card stock - Stampin' Up
Ring Accordion (scallop circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Fun foam
Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Tape, 1/8"
Mirror Stickers - AGC
Seam binding
Poppy the Owl, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Black card stock
Scrap of glitter paper
Hat stamp and words - Lawn Fawn
Copics
Black Sharpie
Shamrock Washi Tape - Doodlebug
Stickles
Lucky Birthday Clear Stamps - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Action Wobble

Card size - 5-1/2" square

Thanks for stopping by today
