Good morning friends!
Before I get to today's post, I wanted to let you know that Karen Burniston has been busy creating NEW DIES. Her Designer Challenge team got the rest of the sneak peaks this weekend, and we are all SO excited about what's coming. Most of the team has received the first nine dies and we once we picked ourselves up off the floor we started playing. That way, as soon as the release is going to be available to ship from Elizabeth Craft Designs - we will have new projects ready to show. Stay tuned!!!
Today's share is my first post for Karen Burniston's May Designer Challenge, which is a theme challenge ... "FLY". One of the first things I thought of when I saw Karen's newest Pivot card die was Dog House! So that is what I decided to go with for my challenge card.
To make the dog house, I cut the House decorator die portion from red patterned paper, then cut the doorway using an oval die from the Oval Accordion Pop it Ups set. I backed the opening with a black card stock scrap, then added the roof gables and a cute bone.
I have paired these dog and balloon images with this word stamp before, but they go so perfectly together! (The trouble with trouble is, it starts out as fun.) Ha!
I added glossy accents to the balloons, dog noses, roof gables and the butterfly that is printed on the patterned paper. I cut a second fence portion to attach to the inside card on the left, and layered it with kraft pickets. The clouds were fussy cut from scraps of patterned paper in the same paper stack.
Finally, here is the view of the card from the back and from the top ...
