Happy Camper House Pivot

When Karen Burniston sent me her newest Pop it Ups House Pivot die to play with, I knew it was going to be a winner.

I had seen a comment where this lady doesn't make many 'Welcome Home' cards, or 'New Home' cards so the die wouldn't get enough use. This card brings me to SEVEN different ones using the House Pivot die and I have yet to make a 'Welcome Home' or 'New Home' card. I have SO many more ideas for it too! This die is VERY versatile.

For Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, I thought I would go with a camping theme. I still want to make a variation of this card by cutting and folding the house decorator die into a tent, but I stumbled across these stickers in my stash and thought I would use them first.

Here is the card opened. To create the little 'scene' for the tent, I cut only the house portion of the House Pivot die again with the teal astrology patterned paper. You just snip off the excess bits and you have a perfect fit! I hand cut a bit of green for the ground, inked the edges and stamped it with my favourite dot stamp for some defination. Then I added the tent sticker.

Note - the embellishments I used on this card are all stickers but I wanted them to pop up rather than stick right to the card. To do this, I used the baby powder trick. (Add your foam tape to the back of the stickers, brush baby powder onto the sticky areas then peel off the foam tape liners and adhere to your card.)

Just a fun card for my stash - that came together really quickly.
