Summer Cards

I didn't get a chance to post anything yesterday. My Mom has been in the hospital - cardiac unit - and I've been a little distracted. That and the fact that we are having some fairly major landscaping done at our cabin; our son's birthday is this weekend; we are also having company for dinner this weekend as a bribe for their help with the landscaping so I have a menu to plan; my Dad needs help while Mom is in hospital; and somehow I have to get Cooper to the vet for some overdue shots.  Thank goodness for cards that I finished awhile ago on a really productive day, so I have something to share today.

These CAS (Clean And Simple) A2 cards were inspired by the pretty floral ribbon, in my quest to USE things up I pulled it out.  The flowers were made by layering several punched pieces that have been brushed with ink using a stipple brush. I love these sweet little flower brads, which I've had in my stash for years.

I used a different word stamp on each one of the cards, and I believe the words are by Verve.

The plaid paper is by K&Co ... from a baby paper stack.

These are top fold cards, and I just rounded the bottom corners of both the card and plaid paper piece with my Creative Memories corner rounder.

The purple cards stock is 'Almost Amethyst' by Stampin' Up. I loved that colour and am so disappointed that it is discontinued.

I doubt I'll be able to participate in any challenges for the next little while, but I will make an effort to leave some comments on other blogs as I have time.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
