July 2014 Designer Challenge for Elizabeth Craft Designs (3 Cards!)

Good morning friends!

It's time again for the Designer Challenge at Elizabeth Craft Designs and I have three cards to share today. The Challenge was to make a Stand-Up card, and also to use one of the Word Stand Up Helpers in a way that wasn't a Stand-Up. Easy Peasy - these word Stand-Up Helpers are SO much fun!

For my first card, I used Julie Davison's instructions to create my Stand-Up card using the new Stand-Up Helpers 2.  I wanted to use the new Elizabeth Craft Designs snowman with all his dress-up pieces for the front and this centre panel was the perfect size!

I used the Poinsettia Stand-Up Helper, and decorated it with tiny holly and the smallest red Glitter Dots.  Those little holly leaves come with the Snowman die set.

I layered the snowflakes with foam tape …

Here is a peek at the inside …

Here is the card folded flat and ready to pop in the envelope...

For my 2nd card today, I cut a white block of card stock with the Merry Christmas Stand-Up Helper at the top edge. Then I embossed the panel below the words with the 'Lots of Dots' embossing folder.

I added a strip of double sided adhesive to white card stock, and burnished in Turquoise Silk Microfine Glitter. Then I die cut the cuff and toe/heel from this glittered paper. The Stocking Overlay was cut from a white pearlized Bazzill. Love how easy it is to change the look of this stocking set!

To get the sparkly border, I adhered a strip of 1/4" Score Tape across my card and burnished in Turquoise Silk Microfine Glitter. Such an easy way to add sparkle and colour!

I added panels and a stamped greeting inside and the card was finished.

And now for my third card today! I used a journal card that came in the paper stack (so everything coordinates), adding tiny Glitter Dots for seasonal sparkle. The stocking was cut from patterned paper in the same stack and pearlized white Bazzill. I added a Bakers Twine bow and pen stitching to give the card a more homey feel.

The Merry Christmas Stand Up Helper was cut from white card stock, then I easily snipped it along the score line at the bottom. That gave me a nice solid strip to adhere at the top of the journal card!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing the different ways I've used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stand-Up Helpers. Make sure to check out the BLOG and see what all the other Design Team created with these dies. You're in for a ton of inspiration!!
