Good morning friends and welcome to my second card for Karen Burniston's October 2015 Designer challenge. Note, information on a sale and Give-away at the end of my post.
Because it's close to Halloween and the Challenge is 'Characters in Costume' - I HAD to make a Halloween card!
I chose the new Gift Card Accordion, which will available soon (make sure your favourite independent retailer has placed their pre-orders) with the matching Flourished Gift Frame. Hoppy the Frog has fangs ... made using the horns from Brownie the Cow. So fun!
I used another of the Coming Soon sets - Props 6 for Hoppy's Dracula cape. The die is actually a Western Scarf which was die cut twice from adhesive backed card stock. I reversed the one die, added black Silk Microfine Glitter and attached each piece to the back of Hoppy.
This is the front of the accordion ...
A close-up of Hoppy ... he was cut from white card stock and coloured with PanPastels. I added Glitter Dot eyes and attached him to the embossed panel with an Action Wobble. So he bobs and wobbles around on the front. Orange Glitter dots were added to the Flourished Gift Frame and I die cut a couple of orange flies to add as well.
Here is the Accordion opened - the frames were also cut from white card stock coloured with PanPastels.
On the back you can see the score lines that cut with the Gift Card Accordion. So you don't need to decorate it with a frame if you don't want to! I cut the postage frame from the PanPastel coloured rectangle, then added white eyes (from Lucky the Rabbit, also coming soon) to add a bit of a spooky feel.
All the Character and Props dies are on sale 20% off at Elizabeth Craft Designs this week, so if Hoppy isn't in your collection now is a great time to add him.
Also, remember the amazing Elizabeth Craft Designs give-away I posted yesterday! Click HERE to see my Purple Zebra Card and the details on how you can win Karen Burniston's Barn Pop Stand, Fence Pop Stand, Western Edges and Cocoa the Horse die sets. Hoofbeats don't always mean horses - sometimes they mean zebra's. Let's spread some Pulmonary Hyptertension awareness!!
