Good morning friends
I have a third card for Karen Burniston's October 2015 Designer Challenge, Characters in Costume. Since it didn't have to be a Halloween Theme, I went with a foxy chef for this card. The front simply has some kitchen themed patterned papers with a pretty yellow Seam Binding bow.
Inside, I used the Lucy Label Pop-Up to animate Dutch the Fox sporting a Chef's Hat.
To make the hat, I used the top of the Pail from the Palm Tree and Pail set, topped with the smallest cloud from the All Seasons Tree. This would also make a cute cupcake, and I realized that the pail could also make a fun Pilgrim Hat.
Dutch's detail layer was cut from the new Soft Finish Card Stock at Elizabeth Craft Designs, and shaded with PanPastels. I love the soft textured look it gives him.
If you like Dutch, now is the time to add him to your collection!! Elizabeth Craft Designs has a 20% off sale on all the Pop it Ups Characters and the Props as well. Sale ends on Friday, so don't delay.
Also, remember the amazing Elizabeth Craft Designs give-away I posted on Monday! Click HERE to see my Purple Zebra Card and the details on how you can win Karen Burniston's Barn Pop Stand, Fence Pop Stand, Western Edges and Cocoa the Horse die sets. Hoofbeats don't always mean horses - sometimes they mean zebra's. Let's spread some Pulmonary Hyptertension awareness!!
I used Thanks from the new Flourished Gift Frame set, adding it onto layered Lucy Labels. The kitchen elements were fussy cut from patterned paper.
Here is the side view so you can see the Pop-Up portion a little better.
Karen Burniston will have her post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog later on this morning, showing all the Designers projects as well as her own take on the challenge. You won't want to miss it!
