C4C 310 - Christmas Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges BlogJessie Rone is our Hostess for October, with Tangii Crain as our Guest Designer. Jessie's challenge this week is to make a Christmas Card.

So, even though it's Halloween today, I have a Christmas card to share!

The snowflake was die cut from white card stock, then coloured with pearlescent PanPastels. The outer edge of the label was done the same way. I love the shimmer that the Pastels give the pieces.

Inside is a Pop-up - a die that I've had for a very long time but have only used a couple of times. The last time was well over a year ago and when I used it this time I realized why I like the Pop-it Ups dies by Karen Burniston so much. They just work. This one was a royal pain to get to fold properly, and if you were a beginner at Pop-Up's it would definitely be frustrating.

It came out OK in the end, with all the colour being added with PanPastels.

LOVE the new calligraphy dies at Elizabeth Craft Designs. They are by artist Suzanne Cannon and they are just gorgeous. This one was layered over several layers of snowbanks, cut with the Outdoor and Beach Edges Pop-it Ups dies.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C310.

Little Ladybug Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

I have a Pop-up Halloween card to share today, that I made for our Granddaughter Olivia. The embossed card front has a stamped label and sparkly cat sticker.

Inside I used another Karen Burniston embossing folder - the clouds. I embossed them on the black inner card top and swiped the raised edges with a white pigment ink pad.

The words and cat are rub-on's that I've had for years. Time to actually USE them!

I hand wrote the BOO on the stitched die cut banner, and the Little Ladybug was attached to the Lots of Pops die, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Our daughter had a small kitchen fire with extensive smoke damage, so they have all moved in with us for the next month or so. I gave the grandkids their cards this morning and they were so excited! Ok, they were more excited about the chocolate marshmallow pumpkin that came with the card. They played pretend Halloween all afternoon, and all the Halloween Cards were in their treat bags.

Later,  Olivia wanted to make her own Pop it Ups card and we had fun doing that. I would take a picture but she gave it to her Mom to keep 'forever and ever' and no way I can get it back to snap a shot. Ha!

Banner Birthday Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday on my blog and I have an older Pop it Ups Birthday card to share today.

The sparkly banners were fussy cut from a different patterned paper in the same stack, and I used the Lucy Label Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for the Pop-Up platforms.

Here is a side view so you can see the Pop-Up a little better.

Halloween Box Card

Good morning friends

My friend Sue and I have started back popping something in the mail to each other on the first of each month. I had this set of Chipboard Halloween stickers and really wanted to use them for her project. So for our October First mailing I made a Card In A Box!

The stickers that overhang were brushed on the back side with baby powder. I have lots of photos to show, both of the flaps and the decorated box base under each flap.

I added a few more chipboard stickers on the back panel, which was coloured with Pan Pastels and is where I wrote my little note to her.

Supplies:
Card In A Box die - Sizzix
Black card stock - Stampin' Up
Confetti card stock
Halloween Chipboard - My Mnds Eye
PanPastels - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Hairspray (to set the pastels)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Tape, 1/8" width
Baby Powder

Little Mummy Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is the Halloween card I made for our Grandson Zachary ...

The clouds were fussy cut from a different paper in the stack, glittered and popped up with foam tape.

Inside I used the Lots of Pops to animate the cute little mummy. These were clear stickers that I adhered to white card stock then fussy cut.

Since the paper was cracking at the folds, I reinforced each of the pop-up bumps on the back with Scotch Tape.

Supplies:
Patterned Paper - Recollections
Stickers - the Paper Studio
Beige Astroparche card stock - Office Depot
Lotsa Pops Pop-Up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stickles
Trick or Treat - Michaels

Card size  - A2

Four Halloween Cards

Good morning friends

I have some flat Halloween Cards to share today, that I made for my parents to give the Grandkids.

For the speech balloon, I traced a Stampin' Up die ...

The characters on the first three cards are attached with an Action Wobble. I love how they bob and wobble around and I know the Grandkids will have fun with them too.

The little skeleton was attached with foam tape instead of an Action Wobble, as Zachary would just pull it off otherwise.

Supplies:
Stickers - the Paper Studio
Purple card stock
Patterned paper - Recollections
Beige Astroparche card stock - Office Depot
Spiral Circle Pull Card (Circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Action Wobbles
Green card stock - Papertrey Ink
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Speech Balloon - Stampin' Up
Black card stock

Card size - all, standard A2

Purple Floral In A Box Card

Good morning friends

I have a pretty birthday card to share today, using the Card In A Box die. I have mentioned before how long I waited for this die to be in-stock and it was worth paying the Big Shipping Bucks for it, as it's a Bigz die rather than a wafer thin die.

This is actually the very first card I made with the die - and I've put it away for my Mother In Law's birthday as she loves flowers.

There are layers of 3-d flower and butterfly stickers, as well as some gold Peel-Off's I had in my stash.  I added a white panel on the back for us to write our message on.

One of the coolest things about these cards, is that it folds to fit into a standard A2 envelope! Below is the card all folded up and ready to be mailed. I will add a panel of packaging foam to the front and some extra postage, because of all the bulk from the gems and layered stickers.

Note, I am having a terrible time with Blogger the past week or so. My curser completely disappears when I am trying to write my post, some photos will not load, and the spacing continues to be all wonky. Sorry about that and I hope they fix the issues soon!

Supplies:
A2 Card In A Box die - Sizzix
Patterned paper - Heidi Grace
Embellishments - K & Company
Blue Astroparche card stock - Office Depot
