Rectangle Pull Card with Balloons

Good morning friends!

The fun continues as Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge Team share projects made with the brand new Pop it Ups release through Elizabeth Craft Designs. One of the new dies I am most excited about, is the Rectangle Pull card. You know how much I love - and have used - the Spiral Circle Pull Card. This one is going to get a LOT of use in my card-making.

First - it cuts a rectangle shape. What's not to love? You get to decide on the size of card and where on the fold you place the die. This Pull Card comes with only one notch to keep the card closed, as that allows it to stand up on it's own but still prevents an accidental reveal until the card is pulled open. (The Spiral Circle Pull Card has two notches.)

The postage frame is a fun decorator die that is included with the Rectangle Pull card, but you will be seeing it used by the team with most of the other Pop it Up dies too.  I chose the Props 2 die set to create my embellishments.  See the balloon? That's the bear balloon from the Props 2, with the ears trimmed off.  The balloon string though, is a decorator die that comes with the Rectangle Pull Card. It's another one of those little pieces that you will be seeing all over the place, used in lots of different ways.

Since this card was going to be on display at the Elizabeth Craft Designs CHA booth, I wanted it to be really sturdy. I used the new Elizabeth Craft Designs double sided tape, and lots of layers.  The fun postage edge is a die from the new Paris Edges set.

If you haven't already seen Karen Burniston's video on the new release, click HERE to see her post.  She explains all about this FUN spinner, as well as the rest of the dies.  The Happy Birthday Label spins up and into view when the card is pulled open. How flippin' cool is that????

LOVE this die set ... You can have things peeking out from behind the rectangle, peeking through a window in the rectangle or have them hidden as I did with this card. There will sure to be lots of other fun ideas as more and more people buy and play with the Rectangle Pull Card.
