Good morning friends
Today is the day Karen Burnison has her post for the January 2015 Designer Challenge. Check it out later this morning on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog.
I used one of Karen Burniston's brand new dies for today's card - the Rectangle Pull Card. This is not for the Challenge, I just love her new die release! Instead of using it in the vertical position, I turned The Rectangle Pull Card horizontally. I like doing this with Z-fold cards, as you get a 'stand-up' effect!
Here is the card in the closed position. I chose to add Patterned paper over the notch that would otherwise hold the card closed.
Here is the card opened ... the fabric stickers had been on my stamping table for several weeks, so it was time to USE them.
I used the spinner that comes with the Rectangle Pull Card, to animate the little bird and leaf. It is hidden when the card is closed, but spins up when you pull it open.
The 'hello' is another one of Karen Burniston's new dies - it comes with the new Rectangle Accordion. I used the new alpha die by Elizabeth Craft Designs to spell out the word 'DEER'. An ECD alpha die has been long awaited so you will be seeing a LOT of it. It's wonderful!
The hills were made with one of the new Beach Edges dies, combined with the grass from the Outdoor Edges die set. The sweet puffy cloud comes with the All Seasons Tree.
Usually I make cards for a specific person, but this one is going into my stash.
