C4C 268 Valentine Cards

Good morning friends:

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog.  Peggy is our hostess this month, and here is her challenge:

We started this month with a clean slate, right? How do you like this “bare” craft room? What you would put in this room? What supplies came to your mind first?
The challenge is to take the first things you thought of (in addition to stamps and paper) and use them on your card.

Since we moved into a new house and I had a whole new craft room to set up - this challenge was easy for me.  The first thing I moved into my new room - after the bookshelf and red cabinet - were my Karen Burniston and Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. They didn't get packed up with the movers, they came with us in our vehicle, as I was taking no chances with them.

The next thing I unpacked and got sorted was my card stock, then the hunt was on for my embossing folders.  I used all of the above to make these three Valentine's for my parents to give their Great Grandsons:

Only Ethan's frog is on an Action Wobble, as Zachary and Ilai still put everything in their mouths.

The Hello was die cut from the white speech balloon, and again from blue card stock. Then the blue one was inlaid into the white speech balloon.

Just for fun, I added this Chilly to a Poppy the Owl shadow which gives him a fun new look. His feet and beak are cut from yellow velvet adhesive sheets.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C268.
