Wow - where to start today!
It's overcast and raining in the mountains, so I decided to have a bath this morning. When I have a bath I either take a card magazine with me or my iPhone. This morning I took my phone, and when I went to check my emails, I saw this:
Are you ready? It's a WOW for sure ...
There was squealing. There was hooting and hollering. There may have even been splashing. Then I remembered I had my iPhone in my hand I should really settle down. The dogs thought I'd lost my mind. :-)
I told you it was a WOW. I'm so honoured that she even noticed my creations, let alone liked them enough to mention them to all her followers. WOW! Thank you Karen, and Thank YOU Pinterest.
Onto today's share, there are two birthday's in our family today. The first birthday is my Dad's, who is 85.
I wanted a masculine card for him and I wanted to add the numbers 8 and 5. My Sizzix number dies are coming in very handy these days, and I'm so glad I bought them. These were cut from bronze Stardream, so they have a lovely metallic sheen.
I used a Sizzix Flip-It die, and masculine paper from my stash. You know I'm not crazy about that narrow edge on the left side with the rectangular Flip-It, so I pulled my usual trick. I cut a 2" strip, scored it at 1", folded it over the narrow edge lining up the rectangular opening with the bottom of the strip. Done. Nice and sturdy. I had the glossy party hat sticker in my stash as well.
My husband and I added our message on that cream strip on the right side - which is hidden when the card is closed.
I used the Tim Holtz Ticket dies for the flip side, cutting the larger one from the same bronze Stardream card stock as the '85', and the small one from cream.
A few more stickers, a Sizzix border strip, a Martha Stewart banner and the card was finished. (Remember you that you can always see my Sizzix Flip-it and Pop N Cut cards by looking on the right side of my blog under LABELS then scrolling down to the 'S' section.)
The second birthday today is Cooper's - he is FIVE today.
He didn't get a card. :-)
But he's already had a new toy stuffed with treats, and there is a brand new Bully stick waiting for him this afternoon.
Now you'll have to excuse me, I have some more squealing to do.

Know who posted that to her Facebook page, and tagged me? None other than Karen Burniston herself, the genius behind the Pop 'n Cut dies I love so much. KAREN BURNISTON!!!
