C4C241 - Sketch Challenge Card

Good morning friends!

It's time for another challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog and this week our hostess Peggy McCurry has a sketch for us ...

Since I don't have a Chevron anything, I used the Snowflakes die from the All Season's Tree (Pop it Ups by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs) in it's place. I die cut them from the aqua textured card stock letting the white card base show through the openings.

Inside, I used another Pop it Ups - this time the Lots of Pops. I left the side and bottom steps in the closed position though, only using the largest base and the top step to attach my cut-outs to.

I also got to play with one of Karen Burniston's newest dies ... Chilly the Penguin. (Shipping mid-July). The black and white areas were actually cut from Velvet Sheets from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The sheets are self adhesive, and it makes putting the designs together a breeze.

Chilly got some Glossy Accents on his eyes, beak and feet...

When Karen Burniston designed the Character dies (Chilly the Penguin, Poppy the Owl, Hoppy the Frog), she put a lot of thought into them. For instance, the decorator pieces cut TWO eyes, and/or TWO feet at the same time.  The little scarf comes with Chilly, and there is a Props die that works with each of the Characters. The Props die has things like a top hat, and glasses. :-)
