Good morning friends!
Today's share is the third Christmas card I made using Bella Road's 12x12" scrapbook kit "Wintertime". The papers and embellishments in the kit were perfect for a Pop 'n Cut card!
The front of the card was done easily by matting a printed journal card trimmed from one of the papers in the stack. I sponged a little area for the die cut deer (not in the kit) to stand on and tied a ribbon around the card front before popping up the whole piece.
When you add the inside Pop 'n Cut piece to the front base, it completely hides the ribbon showing on the inside ... I love that. I used the Circle Label insert for this card, which is the one that comes with the Pop 'n Cut base. Trimming off about 1/2" from the top and bottom edge helps everything line up nice and snug in the center, and the pretty background paper from the front of the card shows up as a way to tie in the brown colours.
I used stickers from the kit to decorate the inside, brushing baby powder on the areas that I didn't want sticky anymore. (Such as the top part of the animated blue snowflake sticker). Another Karen Burniston die was used on the inside - for the label. I stamped the words in red ink and popped that up too.
I like the way the pattern shows through the Pop 'n Cut opening when you use a double sided paper like this.
Be sure to check back tomorrow - Karen Burniston invited me to play along with her November Sizzix Challenge, which is to use RED & Stitched Framelits.
Supplies used:
A2 Pop 'n Cut Base and included Circle Label insert - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Patterned paper and stickers - Wintertime kit (Bella Road)
Deer die and 'snowflakes sparkle' stamp - Papertrey Ink
White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon - Creative Packaging
Butterflies & Labels die - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)

Love this! I, too, love the way double-sided paper works as backing cards to allow both sides of the paper to be seen. (One of my favorite parts of pop-up cards!) You are rocking these kits!
ReplyDeleteOnce again - really lovely! I still need to do my 'red' card!
ReplyDeleteOh that snowflake in the pop up is perfection.
ReplyDeleteSuch a festive card. Thanks for sharing.
