Good morning friends!
In addition to Valentine's Day, February in our house brings a couple of wedding anniversaries and two birthdays!
I made a 'quick & easy' Anniversary card using patterned paper and the Heart Pivot die, which is from the new Pop it Ups collection by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I let the patterned paper do all the work for me, and the card is completely mail friendly. I added two 1/4" paper strips on either side of the inner fold to add a little somethin' somethin' when the card is opened.
The key and keyhole dies come WITH the Heart Pivot set and I used charcoal Stardream (pealized card stock) to back the keyhole and cut the die. I added a narrow paper strip as a tie for the key, as my Bakers Twine didn't look right and neither did my ribbons.
Some hand lettering on some hand trimmed banners and ... done!
Below shows the card from the top and then from the back. There wasn't any room to pen a note or add a signature, so I cut the Lucy Label Pop Up from cream and just snipped away the pop up portions. After inking the edges, I attached the pretty label shape to the back of the card.
Be sure to ask your local retailer to bring in these dies by contacting Elizabeth Craft Designs ... they ship to Canada and overseas too! These are wafer thin dies, so easy to ship and easy to store. I am just having SO much fun with them and I love that they come WITH the layering dies etc.
Supplies used:
Patterned paper - Stampin' Up (retired)
Cream card stock - Hobby Lobby
Charcoal Stardream - my stash
