Canadiana Rectangle Pull Card

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and I have a hybrid birthday card to share today.

I haven't made a hybrid card in ages so I pulled out the new Rectangle Pull Card, a Pop it Ups die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I did pretty good printing the side panels, but the printer enlarged the rectangles for the centres on me. My printer and I have a love/hate relationship - mostly the latter. I keep saying I'm going to throw it out the window, but then I end up giving  it another chance.  The little ribbon below the moose is printed onto the glossy photo paper, but the corduroy brad is from my stash. It adds nice dimension to the otherwise flat card.

I was mostly happy with how it all printed, and that it worked when assembling. Then I went to attach the spinner inside. That photo paper grabbed the adhesive on the spinner and - well, there was no moving it. That is not where I intended to place it however you have to roll with it sometimes ...

I stamped and coloured the little marshmallows on the stick, then fussy cut them out to add a little something to the white cardstock rectangle which is where we will sign our names.

This is going to one of our friends in Arizona, and I know he will get a kick out of the Canadiana theme.
