First - Mom ... yes, YOU, Mom. If you are looking at my blog today STOP. I needed to post this for the challenge today and I don't want you peeking. Thanks!
Good morning friends ...
It's challenge time at the Crazy4Challenges Blog, and since it's a new month we have a new Hostess and a new Guest Designer! Our Hostess is Kelli Hull and our Guest Designer is Holly Tracy - The Paper Mint. Welcome Holly! ... so glad you can play with us this month. I would also like to welcome our new Design Team members, Raquel Mason and Vanessa Buzard.
This is Kelli's challenge: I have a love of the Royal Family so for my challenge this week it will be about The Queen! February 6, 1952 Queen Elizabeth was crowned Queen Elizabeth II. Make a card that is fit for a Royals Crown! Bling it up.
Originally the challenge was to make a Valentine for your Mum, and because I try to work ahead I was finished my challenge card before it changed to a general Valentine. I turned to Karen Burniston's Heart Pivot die. I love that die for all kinds of occasions but it's SO perfect for Valentine's Day I couldn't not use it. I paired it with some deep red card stock and sparkly glitter paper for some eye popping BLING.
I cut two of the Fancy Frame Edges from Glitter Paper, adding them to the inside and finishing off the corners with Glitter Dots.
Gasp - here is the blinged out card in the closed position. This blinged flourish is one I've had in my stash for years ... it was so fun to actually know where it was, and to use it!
Here is the closed card from the back. The camera didn't capture all the sparkle in the Glitter Paper ... it's just lovely stuff.
Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C272.
