Mother's Day Card for my Mom

Good morning friends

My friend "B" came to visit me in Arizona this Spring, and of course we had to go shopping for paper crafting goodies. One store had a particularly good selection of patterned papers at a particularly good prices. "B" was able to get to the lower shelf - with my knees I'd never have been able to view those packages - and pulled each one out for us to look at. I must admit to purchasing waaaaay more than I planned. Waaaaaay more than I needed, either. But hey - when there are prints that are this fabulous, I just can't turn them down.

This sheet has six different patterned blocks on it - designed as Journal Cards for Pocket Scrapbooking. The back side has the pretty yellow print. I knew immediately they would make the perfect Mother's Day card for my Mom!

I added some Stickles for shimmer and shine when the card was all assembled.

Inside I added a second Journal Card, adding heart patterned paper strips to the top and bottom edge.

Even though this is a flat card, I was SO happy with it. The colours are bright and cheerful and the whole card has a happy feel. Perfect for my Mom, who needs a little more happy in her life right now.

Supplies:
White card stock
Patterned paper (Journalling Cards) - Echo Park, A Simple Life
Stickles
Heart patterned paper - Mambi
Large Hugs die on envelope - Simon Says Stamps
Washi Tape
Card size - 5 x 7"

Thanks for stopping by today
