C4C285 Teacher Appreciation

Good morning friends!

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges blog. Our May hostess is Barbara Anders and this is her challenge this week:

School will be letting out here in the US soon, let's make a teacher appreciation card and actually USE it. If you don't need it for yourself, gift it to someone who does.

OK - so I'm really stretching the challenge here. I don't know a teacher, but our eldest daughter is an amazing mother and a dedicated student. She is always learning about new ways to help our Granddaughter manage her disease Pulmonary Hyptension. She is passionate about learning to garden sustainably. So instead of a teacher card, I made a card to let her know we support her and her learning endeavours.

Ha - I can hear Olivia now, wondering why her Mom got a Love Note from Gramma and she didn't!

I pulled out the Katie Label Pivot for this card, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. This die set really makes a WOW card that is actually quick and easy to make. The patterned paper at the bottom was cut with one of the Beach Edges.

I used a new set of stitched scallop dies for the front, trimming the largest scallops to fit in the upper corners.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C285.
