Bright Flowered Pop Up Card

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog and I have an older Pop Up card to share today.

I had the card in my stash, and it was the perfect one to send to a friend a few months ago ...

The butterfly is dangling from a narrow strip of transparency.

Eiffel Tower Accordion Birthday Card

Good morning friends

I made this Paris themed birthday card for a friend who went to Paris last year. Below is the front of the card ...

The card base uses the Accordion Rectangle die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I cut the Eiffel tower and some of the embellishments from heavy black glitter paper.

Inside the card, I added another Eiffel tower and a cute wooden embellishment. I added glitter glue to the wooden piece to tie in the glitter on the tower.

This is the back view of the card ...

I'll be able to hand deliver this card, so it will go in a clear cellophane envelope. No point in hiding all the fun in a white paper one!

Butterfly Pivot Sympathy Card

Good morning friends

Today I am sharing a sympathy card. My cousin passed away suddenly this month and this is the card I made for her son and their little family.

I used the Butterfly Pivot die, adding some labels on the inside to write our message and sign our names.

Sympathy cards are never enjoyable to make, but I was pleased with how this one turned out. My cousin liked butterflies on a card, and often ordered butterfly cards from me.

Father's Day Card with Old Fashioned Car

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and I have the first (of 8) Father's Day cards to share today. Why eight Father's Day cards? Because my Mom can't get out to shop for cards, so I make hers as well.

The die set comes with both the front and the back of the car, so I thought it would be fun to add the back to the inside of the card.

Our cousin suddenly passed away this month and I wanted to send her family a card to know we were thinking of them. This card went to her sister.

C4C283 World Penguin Day

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog.  Lynn Put is our hostess for April, and this is her challenge:

Since today is world penguin day and tomorrow is National Go Birding Day, let's create a card or project with some type of bird as the main focus. 

I had wanted to make a second card sample for Els to take to the Trade Show in Japan, so I used Karen Burniston's 'Chilly The Penguin' with her Tags Pivot for my challenge card this week.

They were looking for cards that were easy and cute because of the language barrier so I pulled out some 6x6" patterned paper and got to work.

Ha! - loving a pink polka dotted Chilly, but I know a penguin-loving friend who is rolling her eyes right now.

Birthday Kitty Pull Card

Good morning friends

It's no secret I love the Spiral Circle Pull Card (SCPC) by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I wanted to use it to make a cat loving friend her birthday card.

I used matching papers from a 6x6" paper stack (my newest obsession, I think) and even cut Whiskers the Cat from patterned paper. I added Glitter Dots for her eyes, and applied Stickles to the fun party hat and her collar for sparkle.

I cut a party blower and little bow as well ...

I know MJ will love receiving this cheery birthday card and that makes me happy.

Chalkboard Print Sympathy Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is the sympathy card I made for my parents. My cousin passed away unexpectedly this month, and she & my mom were very close.

I had picked up a Fiskars small Stamp Press, and have been happy with how well it works to stamp onto die cuts. I seem to be stamping things crooked these days so hopefully this tool will help me with that.
