Chalkboard Print Sympathy Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is the sympathy card I made for my parents. My cousin passed away unexpectedly this month, and she & my mom were very close.

I had picked up a Fiskars small Stamp Press, and have been happy with how well it works to stamp onto die cuts. I seem to be stamping things crooked these days so hopefully this tool will help me with that.

Loving these stitched scalloped border dies ...

Supplies:
Patterned paper - We R Memory Keepers
Stitched Scallop Border die - MFT
903 Katie Label Accordion (stitched label), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Sympathy words - the Stamps of Life
Seam binding
Card size - 5-1/2" square

Hybrid Brownie Stand Up Birthday Card

Good morning friends.

When I made the 'Moo-Vellous' Mother's Day card (see it HERE) I did most of the designing on the computer. Since I saved the file, I printed another one to make a Birthday Card.  I used a fun polka-dot card stock for the card base ...

... and made it a Stand-Up card instead of a Pop Up card.

I simply swapped out the 'Mother's Day' for 'Birthday' before printing. I used Karen Burniston's new 'Hay There Pop Stand' to animate 'Brownie the Cow' adding a party hat for fun. Who doesn't love a cow in a party hat?

The newest Farm Collection of Pop it Ups will be shipping from Elizabeth Craft Designs at the end of the month.

Supplies:
1022 Brownie the Cow, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
1025 Hay There Pop Stand - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Digital Scrapbooking kit - Little Tumbleweeds, Nitwit Collections

C4C 282 Sketch

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. Lynn Put is our hostess for April, and this is her sketch:

I decided not to make a Pop it Ups card (gasp!) - as I had some new toys and I wanted to make them work for the sketch.

Ahahaha - love this balloon holding party hat toting smiling pig stamp. I bought the set because I wanted to use them with Karen Burniston's new Barn collection Pop it Ups. This is the birthday card my parents will give our eldest daughter for her birthday - she loves anything farm related.

Here is the inside ...

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C282.

Farmyard Father's Day Card

Good morning friends

Today's card share uses some of Karen Burniston's newest dies. This farm collection will be shipping from Elizabeth Craft Designs at the end of the month ... and the Designer Challenge Team is having SO much fun with them. Here I used the Barn portion of the Barn Pop Stand set to decorate the front of a Father's Day card.

Inside I have a row of farmyard characters standing up. I used the Barn Pop Stand on the inside and to get the farm characters to stand up I made a little hill. To do this, cut two 2 x 5" strips. Place them with the wrong sides together and cut the top edge with one of the Beach Edges. Then simply mount each 'hill' to the Pop Stand tabs as directed on the package. Instead of adhering the barn, you adhere the hill with the hills attached together at the top outside edges.

I loved the pattern on this paper so didn't want to cover it up. Instead I added a popped up die cut cloud.

Yes, I do know that a herd is not made up of a pig, a cow and a chicken. But hey - artistic license!

I'm loving how the farm characters can be made masculine or feminine, depending on the colours or papers chosen.

Supplies:
1021 Barn Pop Stand, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
1022 Brownie the Cow, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
1024 Virgil the Pig, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Good morning friends

It uses a bunch of older Sizzix dies for this card, but they are still from Karen Burniston!

I cut the swirl out of acetate to resemble steam, and added a small piece of tissue behind the word block on the mug.

Patterned paper - The Paper Studio
Word Stamps - Cornish Heritage Garms
Acetate - Stash

Hybrid Moo-vellous Mother's Day Card

Good morning friends

I have a cow themed Mother's Day hybrid card to share today, using a digital scrapbooking kit and one of Karen Burniston's new Pop it Ups Character's -  Brownie the Cow. On the card front I penned 'Heather' on the digital tag, then added the die cut 'Hay There' (another one of Karen Burniston's new dies).

I did the inside almost entirely on the computer, then printed it off and cut the pop up using the Lots of Pops die. Brownie the Cow is attached to that, and I stamped 'smile' inside the frame.

Brownie has a fussy cut flower on her ear, and that tiny bow is from the Props 2 set. It works perfectly on the little cow bell!

Here is a look at the side, so you can see the pop up portion a little better ...

This card is for our eldest daughter, who loves anything farm related. Ha - in case you were wondering why I would put a cow on a Mother's Day card.

Supplies:
1022 Brownie the Cow, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
778 Lots of Pops, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
949 Props 2 (bow), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
