Beach Themed Wedding Card

Good morning friends

A sweet co-worker of my husbands eloped to Hawaii and I wanted to make a card to congratulate the happy couple.

The majority of my stamps are still in disarray in our garage from the move. Now that I am feeling better and have more mobility I hope to have them unpacked and organized by the end of the summer. Without my 'Overwater/Underwater' stamps, I turned to these pretty gold Peel-Off stickers by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I used silk microfine glitter and coloured them in with Copic markers. They are so sparkly and pretty!

Inside I added more shells and a gold Congratulations Peel Off ...

... and the Lorna Label Pop Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. That die has become my go-to Pop Up die these days!

Sympathy Card for a Special Dog

Sympathy cards are always hard to make, and this one was no exception. Our friends had to suddenly say goodbye to their furry kid, and I wanted to make them a card to let them know we understood how hard it is and that we were thinking of them.

Their dog was black, so I fashioned Buster the Dog to resemble him and added a little heart on his collar. Their dog had the biggest heart - he was an absolute sweetheart.

The card base was created using the Rectangle Pull Card by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I also used the spinner that comes with it to animate the paw print heart. Below you can see how I positioned the spinner:

We wrote our note on the white panel on the right.

Smile Stand Up Card

Good morning friends

My brother gave me this Stand Up die set for my birthday! It comes with the layers, but not one to mat the centre label. For this card I layered the flowered label onto white card stock and fussy cut the mat.  Below is the card ready to pop in the envelope ...

... and here is is in the easel position.  The front is held open by the little notch that cuts with the card base.

Just for fun I decorated the inside as well ...

C4C280 Daisy Mother's Day Card

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. Since it's a new month we have a new hostess ... Lynn Put is our hostess for April and her Guest Designer is Vicki Burdick ( www.itsastampthing-vicki.blogspot.com )

Here is Lynn's challenge:   The flower of the month of April is the daisy. Create a card or project using a daisy/daisies. Be creative, think stamped, die cut, punched or paper pieced but your project must have a daisy on it.

I decided to use Daisy embellishments to make our middle daughter her first Mother's Day card.

Inside, I made a pop up (no surprise there!).  I also used the new fence die in the Susan's Garden line at Elizabeth Craft Designs. I actually purchased the fence to use with Karen Burniston's new release, which is coming soon - but it worked perfectly for this challenge too.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C280.

Robot Love Flip Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a cute Robot Love card to share today. I was looking through my paper stash for something and this patterned paper caught my eye. So I decided to drop everything else and make a card with it.

This Robot stamp is SO cute and I love that you can change up the colours to match whatever you are working with. I coloured this one in with Copic markers.

Here is a look at the flip-side.  I added some punched hearts with foam tape for some dimension.

This card made up really quickly, and I decided to hang onto it for next Valentine's Day. It will be perfect for one of the Grandkids!

Supplies:
Circle Flip-Its - Sizzix
Circle dies - Spellbinders
Patterned paper - K & Company
Robot stamps and words - The AlleyWay Stamps

Butterfly Pull Card

Good morning friends

I wanted to try a different (for me) colour combination and this is what I came up with. I used a new (to me) technique and several of Karen Burniston's Pop it Ups dies. The card base was die cut with the Rectangle Pull Card, I added Butterflies from the Butterfly Pivot and Accessory dies, and rectangles from the Accordion Rectangle.

The tuck slot keeps the card in the closed position but when the recipient pulls the card open, the large inside butterfly spins up and into view.

The 'new to me' technique I used, shows on the butterfly bodies and on the silhouette base from the front butterfly. I covered a piece of transparency with the new Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Then I sprinkled on the Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and polished it in with my fingers. When the pieces are die cut, they are still transparent!

The inside butterfly overlay was cut from a white sparkly card stock.

I was so happy with how this card turned out!
