C4C-365 PEACE Holiday Card Duo

Good morning friends

It's Saturday so that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, and since it's a new month we also have a new Hostess! Our December hostess is Frances Byrne.

Here is her challenge for this week: STAR – Stars decorate our Christmas Trees and also helped show where Jesus was laying in his Manger
all those many years ago. So for our challenge this week we are using the word ‘STAR’ – incorporate
something starting with each of the letters in the word.
Here are a few suggestions to help you, but of course you are not limited to these ... Use your
imagination!
S = Santa; Sleigh; Stockings; Star; Snowman; Snowflakes; Snow; Sage; Saffron; Sapphire;
Scarlet; Sepia; Silver; Square
T = Tree; Toy; Train; Tiger; Teddy; Teacher; Turkey; Triangle; Teal; Taupe; Turquoise
A = Arrow; Apple; Animals; Aqua; Apricot; Amber
R = Red; Reindeer; Rabbit; Rainbow; Rain; Rose; Ring; Rug; Round; Rectangle

Since I was planning on using both the positive and negative images of the Snow Drift Cover Plate, I decided to make two nearly identical cards while the supplies were out. I've had this die since it was first released, but hadn't used it very much at all. This Christmas I've managed to make a few cards with it and I have some different ideas as well.

Here are my letters:

S = Snow banks
T = Trees
A = Anita Frames Pop-Up
R = Row of Houses
and I also included an actual STAR inside my card.

The little houses were trimmed from a Lawn Fawn border and tucked into the drifts.

I cut the 'peace' three times for each card, then glued them one on top of each other for a chipboard look.

Inside I used the Anita Frames Pop-Up and added the house border on either side.

The deer were cut from white glitter paper.

There it is - the star for the challenge.  (It's from the Christmas Tree Pop-Stand) and was cut from white glitter paper.

The second card is nearly identical, but has a glittered deer in a different pose than the first card.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C365.
