Karen Burniston November 2015 Designer Challenge Card #1

Good morning friends

Welcome to Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge -  "Pop it Ups Video Techniques - Choose any technique from any of my Pop it Ups videos going back to the beginning and use it for a card of any theme. Put your spin on the video techniques and make them even better!"

I chose to do a Double Katie Label Pivot Card, and you can see Karen Burnston's video HERE

Here is the front. I used a lightly patterned paper for the card base,  and added colour with Pan Pastels. I cut the Western and Outdoor edge pieces from scrap white paper using them as a stencil.

Here is the card fully open!

I combined stamps from THREE different clear stamp sets on the labels. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you want to see more detail.

Howdy gorgeous ... it's your birthday, and yee haw ... kick up your heels are stamped on the first two labels.

Celebrate Baby, and Happy Birthday are on the final two.

I added a couple of extra horses to add some interest and to keep the border from looking too repetitive, since I used four of them.

I hope you will see how the rest of the Designer Challenge team has interpreted this challenge - they are linked on the right side of my blog. Karen Burniston will have her project on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog on Wednesday
