C4C278 Eiffel Tower Sketch Card

It's Saturday and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. Our hostess for March is Anja de Regt, and her Guest Designer is Andrea Murdock (My Stamping Heaven)

This week we have a sketch, and I did something completely different. I put the sketch on the inside of my card!  I used the new Eiffel Tower Pop Stand, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is a look at the sketch, so you can see that I did a good job of following it. So not like me. Heh.

I added the embossed detail to the platforms and the tower itself. The platforms also got the Glitter Glue treatment.

Below is the front of the card. I added panels that would hide the two small holes that form the tabs to animate the Eiffel Tower. The back was left as is. I used one of the new Paris Edges to create that tiny Eiffel Tower, and inlaid it into the blue mottled panel. The lace at the top is printed on the paper and it's embossed and glittery. So I added Stickles to the Eiffel tower and outlined the cloud with it as well.

Into my stash, as this one is for my parents to give our middle daughter for her May Birthday.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C278.

Honey Bear Birthday Pull Card

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Z-fold Pull Card to share today.

I used the Rectangle Pull Card, Honey the Bear, and the Props 2 which are dies by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Love the way Honey is peeking around the corner when the card is in the closed position.

When you open the card, Honey spins up into view!

I added the 'swirly do' as a balloon string ...

... glitter dots for eyes, and of course the cute party hats.  Honey is holding a hot dog stick, which is a sticker from the same package as the patterned paper.

Into my stash with this one!

Bio Page

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday on my blog and I have an older project to share. Early last Spring, Karen Burniston asked each of her Designer Challenge team to create a single Accordion Oval page with our photo, blog address and name. She assembled all the pages into a fabulously long Accordion Album to display at CHA Spring 2014.

I have to laugh at my 'chipmunk cheeks'.  At the time, I was on fairly high doses of Prednisone trying to get this Rheumatoid Arthritis under control.

777 Oval Flourish Frame Edges, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Hybrid St. Patrick's Day Cards

Good morning friends

Today's share are the St. Patrick's Day cards I made for the Grandkids. I don't know that I will always send them St. Patrick's Day cards but this year I wanted them to get some Happy Mail Love Notes from Gramma.

I used a digital Scrapbooking kit, and printed everything out on white card stock.

There are two different styles for the card insides:

Supplies:
White card stock
Digital Scrapbooking kit - Bit O Blarney, Nitwit Collections.
Printer
Card sizes - all, standard A2

First Birthday Overalls Card

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and I have another card for Zachary's First Birthday to share.  This is the one that my parents will give him.

Overall/Onsie shaped cards are not new - they've been around the web for years. But I saw THIS card by Jennifer Brum made in 2012 and something clicked. I knew exactly what I wanted to do for Zachary's card.

I used black Glitter Dots for the 'button holes' and Hoppy the Frog's eyes.

It turned out so cute! Love the way Hoppy is all folded up into that pocket.

The glossy bunny die cuts have also been in my stash for - gulp - years. I stamped them with a lace background image, inked the edges and added a sweet ribbon bow.

Here is a peek at the inside ...
