C4C311 - Thanksgiving Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

Joanne writes:  "November has arrived and that means there is a new hostess for the Crazy4Challenges......and that would be me, Joanne/Jojot!!!  I am so very excited to announce that our Guest Designer for November will be the fabulous Karen Dunbrook.  Her talents are often on display at Splitcoast, and her specialty is CAS along with incredible and innovative background effects.

Here is the challenge........ Let’s add to our Thanksgiving/Fall card stash by creating cards of thanks using the traditional colors of the season.  For those of you ‘down under’ you may certainly make Spring creations expressing thanks."

Well the Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, but since Joanne posted her challenges nice and early, I was able to make this card for my parents, give it to them for Thanksgiving and save the post for today.

The patterned paper has lovely gold foil accents, and of course I made it a Pop it Ups card. Some of the embellishments were fussy cut from a similar patterned paper in the same stack.

Here is a side view so you can better see the Pop-Up portion.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C311.

Supplies:
Cream card stock
Patterned paper - Recollections
Labels and words - Reverse Confetti
Lorna Label Pop-Up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Card size - 5-1/2" square

Four Christmas Flip-Its

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog and I have four Christmas Flip-It's to share today. Last winter, when I was in so much pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis, I sat and cut a whole bunch of Flip-Its bases and patterned paper panels. I didn't have enough mobility to get them finished, so I stored all the bits and pieces

This year I decided to continue my quest to USE STUFF UP so assembled most of the Flip-It cards to send out this year over the holidays. Even though I'd rather be making Pop-it Ups, ha ha.

Supplies:
Scallop Edge Flip-Its - Sizzix
Patterned paper
White card stock
Embellishments - K & Company
Other embellishments - stash
Word stamp - Stampin' Up
Snowflakes - stash
Glaze pen - Sakura

Lucky Bunny Pop Up Gift Card Holder

Good morning friends

I have a scheduled post for today as we are on the road. I am loving Karen Burniston's newest Character - Lucky the Bunny, so I wanted to use her on a feminine birthday card. This card is also a Gift Card holder!

Lucky is on the front holding a bear balloon, which has been coloured with pearlescent PanPastels.

The Pop-up Sleigh Gift Card Holder is a great die set for making Gift Card Holders, and since the sleigh is independent of the Pop-Up mechanism, you can use it for any occasion! Here I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs cupcake die and mounted that on the Pop-Up platform.

There is even a set of clear stamps that coordinate with Lucky the Bunny Character, and I used them on the card as well. So fun! The stitched label is a decorator die that comes with the Lorna Label Pop-Up, and the little heart label is from the Lucy Label Pop-Up. The Pop-it Ups dies work together seamlessly.

Here is a side view of the Pop-Up so can can see the tuck slots for the Gift Card.

Pumpkin Thanksgiving Cards

Good morning friends

I have a couple of Thanksgiving cards to share today.

These were older cards, the pumpkins had been water coloured and the patterned panels all cut. I just needed to assemble them, stamp a greeting inside and they were ready to send out this year.

Cowboy Poppy Birthday Card

Good morning friends

I found a half-completed card on my table, so used the new Props 6 by Karen Burniston to finish it off! Poppy the Owl got a cute PanPastel coloured cowboy hat with a wheat stalk tucked into the brim.

Inside, I added the cowboy boots & a wheat stalk from the same Props set, and a stamp from the Cocoa Western Clear Stamps.  The boots were cut from white card stock and coloured with PanPastels.

Morning Glory Flat BD Card

Good morning friends

I have a flat birthday card to share today, using leftover bits and pieces.

The pretty foiled paper remained from a Seniors Secret Service special birthday card, and the felt cupcake I've had in my stash for a couple of years. It was the last one on the sheet so it was good to use it up.

This card also went into my donation box for Seniors Secret Service.

Supplies:
Foiled patterned paper - stash
Olive card stock - Stampin' Up
Card and envelope base - Michaels
2577 Large Happy Birthday Peel-off in Gold - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Cupcake (felt) - Pebbles
Words inside - My Favorite Things
