Zentangle Tile and last of the Christmas Pop Up Cards

Good morning friends, and welcome to my newest followers.

Before the cards, I wanted to share my 4th Zentangle Tile.

I also have a pair of Pop 'N Cuts cards to share - and that will be it for holiday cards for awhile, I promise.

Almost all of the finished Pop 'N Cut cards were sent out this year ... but I have a couple of dozen more cut and ready to be assembled and decorated. Ha! Looks like I'll be sending more Pop 'N Cut cards next year as well!

Wishing all of you a happy and healthy 2016.

Sparkling Menorah Card

Good morning friends

This year I found myself scrambling to get our Hanukkah cards finished in time ... and I discovered that I was ready for some new Hanukkah supplies as well.  When they arrived, I got to work making a card to have ready for next year:

The stamped circle is popped up with foam tape, and I added glitter glue to the '8'.

Here is a look at the inside, with this beautiful sparkling Menorah. I used the little Pop-Up platform that comes with Karen Burniston's new Basket/Barrel Pop-Up to animate the Menorah. That little Pop-Up die is going to come in REALLY handy for all kinds of things!

The Menorah die is beautiful but it was frustrating to cut. I probably had to run it through my machine at least 6 times, turning it around and moving it on the cutting pads in order to FINALLY get it to cut all the way through. I hoped it was because of the silver glitter paper, but I cut a navy one to back it so it would be nice and sturdy and had the same problem.

I have other Hanukkah cards to make for next year, but there is lots of time and I'll do it later in 2016.

Supplies
Menorah - Spellbinders
Stitched edge - My Favorite Things
Blue card stock - stash
Confetti card stock
Basket Pop-Up (Pop-Up Platform)- Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stitched Circle - My Favourite Things
Stamp on front - CASual Fridays
Fun foam

Zentangle Tile and Pop-Up Christmas Card

Good morning friends

I still have a few more Christmas cards to share ... but come the New Year there will be some non-holiday cards including  cards using Karen Burniston's new CHA release!

First up today, is my Zentangle tile #3.

Next is a Pop-Up holiday card using those pre-cut Pop-N Cut bases I've been using up.

The front embellishment is a glossy sticker, attached to a die cut label from my 'odds & sods' pile.

Inside, I attached a tag to the pop-up platform and word sticker for the verse.

The tag had a gold foiled border sticker adhered to the bottom edge and Bakers Twine through the top.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Momenta
Bakers Twine
Stickers - stash
Gold foiled border sticker - K & Company

May Your Holidays Sparkle Pop Stand Card

Good morning friends

I'm back today with another holiday card using Karen Burniston's Christmas Tree's Pop Stand die set for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The front of the card has the expanding trees as well, although they are firmly attached at the back and don't swing freely as they do inside the card.

The garland and stars are Accessory Dies in the set.

Here is the top view of the card ...

The green trees were stamped with a custom background stamp, and decorated with Glitter Dots.

The green border with the half circle cut away is from the COMING SOON Pull Card Edges. That set is going to be SO handy!

The stamps on the bottom panel are from Karen Burniston's Merry & Bright Clear Stamps. Both the circle at the top and this bottom stamped rectangle are outlined with glitter glue - hard to see in the photos though.

Christmas Tree Pop Stand

Good morning friends

Even though the Christmas is over, I have a few more cards to share and I don't want to be hanging onto the photos until next year. I was having so much fun with the Christmas Trees Pop Stand by Karen Burniston, that I just HAD to make a couple of cards with it. In fact, since I work on holiday cards throughout the year, I often make some Christmas cards right after Christmas while I'm still in the holiday spirit!

Unfortunately, the patterned paper cracked on the spine, so I couldn't make it a single layer card as I'd intended. Instead I added a decorative panel to the front and back, after using Scotch Tape to keep the spine from cracking more and pulling apart.

Here is the front of the card. The green tree die cut is the interior shape that comes out from the largest  tree for the Pop Stand. I cut a separate star and trunk, and also added a glitter border Peel-Off sticker for some shimmer and shine.

Here is the top view of the card when it is fully opened.

The little scroll comes from the Merry Christmas Pop Up card as do the words Merry Christmas. The Scalloped Border is one of Karen Burniston's newest dies, being released at CHA and shipping next month. It is in the Pull Card Edges set - and those scallops are the perfect size and shape of the notches on all the Pull Cards. Love that.

The stamp is from the Merry & Bright clear stamp set, and the white snow border is the negative image from the beach edges which were on a different card.

I am in love with those expanding trees! This one was decorated with glitter line Peel-Off's for some holiday sparkle.

There was a tiny bit of patterned paper leftover from this holiday paper stack and I used it to make a few tags. I was so happy to have used up that entire paper stack!!!

Christmas Ornament Pop-Up Cards

Good morning friends

I have another pair of Pop-Up cards to share today, using older Karen Burniston dies.

I added Bakers Twine to ornament embellishments from my stash, as well as a cream stitched oval to both card fronts. The ornaments have gold foiled bits on them.

The interior of both cards are the same ... I had a duplicate set of the glossy glittered stickers. Ha - I'm such a hoarder collector.

It was hard to photograph the shine and glitter inside - these look way better in real life.

To more cards from my "In Progress" bin completed and off in the mail, and I almost finished off the sticker sheets too.

Supplies:
A2 Pop 'n Cut Base with Wavy Label Insert - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Cream card stock
Patterned paper - Momenta
Clear plastic stickers - stash
Stitched Oval - My Favorite Things
Ornament embellishments - stash

Holly Pull Card with Extra Panel

Good morning friends, and Merry Christmas to all that celebrate this day.

Today's share is a Rectangle Pull Card, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I love the notch that holds the card in the closed position until the sides are pulled to reveal the inside. On this card, when you pull the sides, an extra panel is revealed!

Here you can see the Merry Christmas, which is hidden when the card is closed.

And here is the card fully opened.

There is lots of room to write a message on the far right rectangle, and the card still folds up nice and flat to fit in the envelope.

Have a WONDERFUL DAY,  however you spend it. I truly appreciate your support
and the lovely comments you've left me through the year.

Gingerbread Pop-Up Card Duo

Good morning friends

I have a pair of Pop-Up cards today, using up more of my pre-cut Pop 'n Cut card bases and embellishments from my stash.

The candy canes on the front are all glittery and I love the 'oh what fun' stamp.

Inside I added an embellishment from my stash (a train for one and a doll for the second) onto the pop-up platform, some stitched border edges top and bottom, and a stamped greeting.

Even though I'm using older papers and dies, and using things up from my stash - the response to these cards has even really good. Just goes to show you - everyone loves a Pop-Up card.

Doggie Christmas Card for our Vet

Good morning friends

Today's share is the Christmas card I made for our vet.

Inside, I made it a Pop-Up card using the Sleigh Gift Card Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. The stamped and die cut dogs were attached to the the Pop-Up platform, the angled platform and the additional L support that comes with the die. "Put some WAG in hour holiday" - so fun!!

The dogs were stamped and die cut, then the sweaters were stamped, die cut and popped up with foam tape.

I made a coordinating tag, and tied it to a large box of TimBits. Ha - that was the only holiday 'baking' I'd done at that point. As of yesterday though, I have a couple of our family favourites all ready. :-)

Supplies:
White card stock
Sleigh Gift Card Holder, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Dog stamps and dies - Papertrey Ink
Patterned paper - MME
Fine Point Tweezers - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Snowman and Christmas Tree Pop Stand Card

Good morning friends

I have been having SO much fun with the Christmas Tree's Pop Stand, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Even though my cards are all mailed or delivered for this year, I wanted to make another with this die set. So ... this is my first Christmas card for next year. Ha!

The card front has two trees, which are the leftover  interior shapes from the largest expanding trees. I simply cut two more trunks out of brown adhesive backed card stock and added a fussy cut greeting from the same paper stack.

The cute snowman paper worked nicely for the Pop Stand, and I adore the expanding trees in the centre.

I stamped them with my favourite Stamps by Judith stamp, a polka dot image, as well as inked the edges with a darker green.

The greeting was stamped on a Katie Label accessory die and attached with foam tape.

These Pop-Stand cards fold up completely flat, but have such a WOW factor when they are opened.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Recollections
Christmas Trees Pop Stand, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Brown card stock
Clear Double Sided Adhesive, 2-1/2' width
Words - Artistic impressions
Green card stock - Stampin' Up
