Zentangle Center Step

Good morning friends

Note: This is a cross-post with my Zentangle Blog (alteredzen.blogspot.ca).

I wanted to do a special Zentangle tile for my friends birthday, so used a 60 as the string. When the tile was complete, I decided that I wanted a nice presentation and the Centre Step die by Sizzix has an area large enough for the tile.

I've said it before, but I have asked Karen Burniston for a Square Pull Card ... one that will fit a 3-1/2" Zentangle tile. FINGERS CROSSED!! Meanwhile, I'm happy to be able to use this card base to make an interactive card as they are a little more special, don't you think?

Supplies:
Centre Step card - Sizzix
Zentangle Tile - Zentangle.com
Cream card stock
Black card stock
Patterned paper - K & Company
Clear Bag for the tile - Clearbags.com

Card size - standard A2

Zentangle ATC Pull Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog I'm doing a cross post with my Altered Zen blog. I have a Z-Fold card to share today that features a Zentangled ATC as the main embellishment.

I'm tickled to see how nicely the ATC's fit on the Rectangle Pull Card!

Here is a close up of the ATC itself - it was done on an official Zentangle ATC which is made from the most beautiful paper.

Inside is a tangled panel with stamped words and I wrote my message on the second one. It was a good opportunity to lightly stencil some colour onto the panels as well.

Supplies:
ATC - Zentangle.com
Rectangle Pull Card, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Accordion Rectangle (rectangle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Patterned paper - Tim Holtz

Word stamp - Kaisercraft

Bee Mine Valentine and a Zentangle Tile

Good morning friends

I still have Valentine's to share! This is one that I made for my parents to give Zachary. The cute little bee was made last year when I was experimenting with the Silk Microfine Glitter over stamped images. There was a little wrinkle in the adhesive, but it still turned out pretty cute so I decided to keep it as Zachary won't notice that wrinkle.

I'm also sharing my Zentangle tile #10

Supplies:
Bee - The Alley Way Stamps
Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter - Elizabeth Craft Designs
White card stock
Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Tape - 2-1/2" width

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog and I have a sweet Z-fold card today using the newest Pull Card shape - the Oval. It has the notch that holds the card in the closed position, which I love. The front has sparkly patterned paper and a 3-d puppy sticker.

Look at how nicely the new Pull Card Edges work! The Scallops fit perfectly over the notch that holds the card closed.

Reindeer Gift Tags and a Zentangle Tile

Originally I planned on sharing a Gift Card Holder I made for friends, but I cannot find the photos in my files. I will keep looking for those pictures, but meanwhile I thought I'd share some holiday tags.

I was SO excited when Karen Burniston came out with her Props 5 which included ANTLERS. I used them here along with the 'Rudolph' nose and Glitter Dot eyes.

These turned out so cute - I am going to make more of these to use for Christmas 2016.

Valentine Flip-it Card and a Zentangle Tile

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Valentine Flip Its card to share today.

I continue my quest to Use Things Up, and this die is perfect for little bits and pieces.

We were recently away on a trip, and I worked hard to have my posts scheduled before we left. It was such a relief not to have to worry about posting when we were away and coming home I decided that my posts need to have less writing.

If you have questions, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.

Today I am also sharing my Zentangle Tile #6

Patterned paper - stash
Acetate embellishments - K & Company
XOXO envelope - Jolee's

Zentangle Tile and last of the Christmas Pop Up Cards

Good morning friends, and welcome to my newest followers.

Before the cards, I wanted to share my 4th Zentangle Tile.

I also have a pair of Pop 'N Cuts cards to share - and that will be it for holiday cards for awhile, I promise.

Almost all of the finished Pop 'N Cut cards were sent out this year ... but I have a couple of dozen more cut and ready to be assembled and decorated. Ha! Looks like I'll be sending more Pop 'N Cut cards next year as well!

Wishing all of you a happy and healthy 2016.

Zentangle Tile and Pop-Up Christmas Card

Good morning friends

I still have a few more Christmas cards to share ... but come the New Year there will be some non-holiday cards including  cards using Karen Burniston's new CHA release!

First up today, is my Zentangle tile #3.

Next is a Pop-Up holiday card using those pre-cut Pop-N Cut bases I've been using up.

The front embellishment is a glossy sticker, attached to a die cut label from my 'odds & sods' pile.

Inside, I attached a tag to the pop-up platform and word sticker for the verse.

The tag had a gold foiled border sticker adhered to the bottom edge and Bakers Twine through the top.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Momenta
Bakers Twine
Stickers - stash
Gold foiled border sticker - K & Company
A2 Pop 'N Cut with Wavy Label insert - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)

Christmas Flip-it Cards and Zentangle Tile #2

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog and I have six Flip-It cards to share today!

The first four are done in a horizontal format - I like that they stay open like an Easel Card when done this way.

I was able to use up some border stickers and some leftover patterned paper pieces for these ones.

The next two cards have sparkly snowflake stickers.

On this first card, the patterned paper is also very sparkly.

I only had a bit of this blue patterned paper leftover and now it's gone! I am enjoying using things up or at least whittling down the pile this year for my holiday cards.

I'm also sharing my Zentangle tile #2

Good news ... the drug company is going to cover the cost of my new medication for the next little while and I have started on it already! It could take 3 months to see any results, which is hard for someone who is in pain and has compromised mobility. But - it's certainly the light at the end of the tunnel ... Right now I'm enjoying the effects of a cortisone shot in each knee and my mobility and pain are under control. Other than the RA fatigue, I feel more like my old self than I have in a couple of years. Yeah!

Supplies for cards:
Circle #2 Flip-It's, Sizzix
Patterned paper - stash
White card stock
Snowflake stickers - stash
Red card stock
Stamp - Stampin' Up
