Sympathy Pull Card with Chipboard Embellishments

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Pull Card to share using the Spiral Circle Pull Card die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

My friend 'B' shared her idea of using purchased patterned cards as the card base - with the pattern face up, you simply line up the die's alignment nubs with the centre score line and cut. Using an A2 patterned card base will give you a 5-1/2" square card. If you trim 1/2" off one of the sides it will easily fit into a 5 x 7 envelope for mailing.

I added some chipboard embellishments from my stash and hand lettering inside.

Supplies:
Patterned A2 card - Michaels
Chipboard embellishments - Michaels
Stitched circle - My Favorite Things

Card size - 5-1/2" square

Sympathy Pull Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have another Spiral Circle Pull Card to share today using a purchased brown patterned A2 card.

You simply put the alignment nubs on the centre score line with the card front on the right and the card back on the left. This will give you a 5-1/2" square card, but one edge can be trimmed by 1/2" to give you a 5 x 5-12" card that will fit into a 5 x 7' envelope.

The notches keep the card in the closed position to prevent an accidental reveal - and below is how the card looks when it's pulled open at the sides.

I added some chipboard embellishments from my stash, as well as 3-d stickers that were leftover from a different project. The words were stamped on a stitched circle.

Supplies:
Patterned A2 card - Michaels
Chipboard embellishments - Michaels
3-d stickers - K & Company
Stitched circle - My Favorite Things
Stamp - The Stamps of Life
Cream card stock
Spiral Circle Pull Card, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Card size - 5-1/2" square

Dog Themed Sympathy Card

Good morning friends

I wanted to send my Sister In Law & family a card when their dog passed, and this is what I came up with. I used a heavy white card stock and the Heart Pivot by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs for the card base.

The designs on the front (and back) pivot to the inside when the card is opened. I added hand lettering and dog themed embellishments from Paper Smooches.

Whenever I give a Pivot Card to someone, they inevitably turn it so they can see what it looks like from the top. So I like to include a photo of the top on my Pivot Card blog posts.

Supplies:
Heavy white card stock - Michaels
Red and black card stocks
Xyron
Heart Pivot, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Paw Print etc - Paper Smooches
Hugs die - Technique Tuesday
Fine point Tweezers - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Bakers Twine
Oval Accordion (heart), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Card size - 4 x 5-1/2"

Moms card for Annabelle

Good morning friends

Today's card is one I made for my Mom to let her know I was thinking of her. The anniversary of my cousin's sudden passing is this month and the two of them were very close.

Annabelle loved flowers, angels, butterflies, tea and anything Victorian so I tried to hit all the bases with this card. Here is the front ...

Inside is a Pop-Up, with a pretty butterfly tea cup and spoon on a background of vintage tea cup patterned paper. I used the little Pop-Up platform from the Barrel Basket Pop-Up - it's so handy for popping up lots of things.

The words were hand lettered.

The cup and spoon have some pen work detailing and they rest on a doily half. The sugar cubes were made by die cutting the gift from the Evergreen Pivot out of white glitter paper and inking the edges lightly.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Prima
Barrel Pop-Up (Pop-Up platform), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Cup Pop Stand (cup), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Doily - Martha Stewart
Fun foam
Copics
Uni Pin fine line black pen
Evergreen Pivot (gift for sugar cubes), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Glitter paper - Stampin' Up

Card size - 5 x 5" square

Lily Sympathy Pull Card

Good morning friends

Today's share is a sympathy card - never fun ones to make but it's nice that I can be thinking of the family all while I'm making their card.

One of the great things about the Pop it Ups dies, is that you get to decide on the size of the card. Since I was using a Big Shot Pro, I was able to make a larger 5 x 7" card with the Rectangle Pull Card. I have been steering away from A2 cards the last little while - larger cards just feel so much more substantial.

The lily panel was fussy cut from a sheet of patterned paper and I added some glitter glue to the petals. The Pull Card Edges allow you to cut a mat around the left edge of the pull card and again - you get to decide on the size you want.

The notch holds the card in the closed position (love that) until the recipient pulls the sides to open and reveal the inside.

Supplies:
Rectangle Pull Card, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Pull Card Edges, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Rectangle Accordion (rectangle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Jewels 1 - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stitched Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Patterned paper - Authentique and Momenta
White card stock
Stickles
Stamps - The Stamps of Life
Butterfly dies - Impression Obsession

Card size - 5 x 7"
