'From Our House' Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

I have decided to move my cards and paper crafting to Painted Mountain Cards in the New Year. I've been toying around with the idea for a long while, and this seems like a good time to make the change. I will leave this blog open, as there are still a lot of hits from Pinterest and over 5 years worth of cards etc to reference.

Onto today's share ...

I have 4 gift tags to share today, made using the Hero Arts tag die. I've managed to use it a fair bit this season so definitely feel the purchase is justified.

For these tags, I cut the tag from red card stock then adhered it to a slightly larger white stitched circle. 'To & From' was stamped on the back of the tags.

Here is a close up of one of the tags. I stamped the words from Karen Burniston's Merry & Bright stamps on a Blueprints banner, and added some gold glitter dots. Gold is so trendy right now and I'm loving it.

Supplies:
Stitched Circle - MFT Stamps
Decorative tag die - Hero Arts
Blueprints #28 (Stitched banner)
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Word stamp - Merry & Bright, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs
Bakers Twine

Holiday Tags from Bits and Pieces

Good morning friends

I have a bunch of Christmas tags to share today, using bits and pieces from my stash.

These glossy Christmas die cuts I've probably had for over 10 years. The 3-d stickers have been in my stash for several years at least. I used the Stitched Circle die for the tag bases, and added a second - white one - to the back of each. To and From was stamped on the white stitched circles before I adhered them.

These four tags are actually printed tags from Hero Arts, and I added the 'to & from' then some holiday embellishments.

Star stickers from my stash, all used up now.

On a personal note, going to bed I tried to lay on my side and ... it was doable! I was pretty happy as I've only been able to lay on my back since the 7th when I had the gall bladder surgery. I am not a huge fan of laying on my back for the entire night. Well it must have been too early in the healing game and there still must be a lot of swelling inside my belly because I woke up at 6am with a bad stomach ache that just got worse until 3pm. The only thing - the ONLY thing that made it ease off a little was to ... lay on my back on the couch.

So - not tempting fate for the next few days, and I'll return to sleeping on my back. I do not want a repeat of yesterday.

Christmas Tags From My Stash

Good morning friends

Today's share is two more Christmas tags, made using the Labels and Circles dies by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The fabric deer embellishment was in my stash, as was the stocking sticker. That sticker was the last one on the sheet so I was happy to use it and be done with that sheet.

Els' Easel die (Elizabeth Craft Designs) is so handy for displaying the tags for photographing.

On a personal note, I ended up needing emergency surgery this week to remove my gall bladder. Not a fun couple of days, but I'm on the mend now. I was well looked after at Banner Hospital, our travel insurance was mostly cooperative (once they were told by the hospital that I was NOT fit for travel back to Canada for the surgery, which is what they requested), and our friends here in Arizona have been amazing. I was released from hospital yesterday and our little Cooper dog was VERY happy to have his mommy back home. He was quite distressed during my attack. Awwww.

Supplies:
Circles and Labels, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Snowflake embossing folder - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Patterned paper - stash
White card stock

Christmas Cup Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

I'm back today with a few more Holiday Tags using Karen Burniston's new Labels & Circles set.

I cut the cup from the Cup Pop Stand out of sparkly striped patterned paper, then added 'whipped cream' using the icing from Joset's cupcake cut from white glittered card stock. Teammate Kelly Booth had used the icing in this way and I loved that idea. I also tucked in a little candy cane from Jolly the Mouse.

I stamped a greeting from the new Holiday Clear Stamps onto a label from the Anita Frames Pop-Up (which just happens to be the same shape - it's like the designer knew what she was doing, ha ha). Added a little colour with markers then the label edges were inked then popped up with foam tape.

I cut a second label from white card stock, scored it about 3/4 of an inch from the top edge then added adhesive above the score line and attached the decorated tag to the white one. This allows the tag to open and gives me ample room for writing.

Label & Circle Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

As soon as I saw the new Labels & Circles die set by Karen Burniston, I knew they would make wonderful Christmas tags.

The largest Label was cut from patterned paper and again from white card stock. The red ring piece was cut from adhesive backed card stock, which made it easy peasy to adhere. I also used one of the new clear Holiday Stamps - such a nice greeting, don't you think? I added tiny Glitter Dots above and below the greeting for some holiday shimmer & shine.

The white Label was scored across the top as shown below, then I adhered it to the back of the patterned paper label with adhesive ABOVE the score line only.

This allows the tag to open for you to write your message, while keeping the front clear of score lines.

Christmas tags are such a great way to use up patterned paper extras or scraps, and the Labels and Circles make it so easy!

Holiday Tree Tag Trio

Good morning friends

I have had over two weeks of posts scheduled because I knew I'd be too busy packing to be making cards and posting. Yesterday I realized that I was out of scheduled posts!

I had made these quick and easy tags one evening while hubby was watching sports. I'm trying to whittle down my Christmas embellishment stash and tags are a great way to also use up patterned paper scraps.

The twine has a gold thread through it, which doesn't show up well in the photos but adds to the holiday sparkle. I added red glitter dots, the trees are glittered fun foam and the star embellishments are 3-d stickers with bling. Everything from my stash.

Round Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

I've been trying to use things up this year, so when I saw this package of painted wooden shapes in my Christmas Embellishment Box, I decided to make some quick and easy holiday tags.

For each tag base, I cut two stitched circles. The back has a stamped 'to & from', then the Bakers Twine was sandwiched in between the two and the circles were adhered together. Then the cute wooden shapes were attached.

I've been hanging onto this Dollar Store package since my friends and I had our Craft Sale, as the intent was always to have another one. However life happens and ... time to use some things up!

Six Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

Today's share is another set of holiday tags. I'd been working on a couple of Christmas cards and realized that one of the patterned papers in the stack had rows of snowman that would work perfectly on my open holiday tag die.

I cut the tags from a green printed paper in the stack, then popped up the fussy cut snowmen on the centre solid strip. The reverse has a 'to & from' stamped on the back.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Recollection
Ornament die - Hero Arts
Fun foam
Baker's Twine

Happy Holidays Tags

Good morning friends

Today I have another set of holiday tags to share.

These ones have a glittered banner with a 3-d sticker in the centre. I've had these stickers in my stash for a very long time so it was fun to finally use them! There is a stamped 'to & from' on the back side of the tags.

These are so sparkly and perfect for the holidays. I'm loving this tag die!

On a personal note, my mouth seems to be healing very well! The antibiotics are very hard on my stomach - apparently they had to prescribe a potent one because of the Methotrexate I'm on for the RA but I only have to take it for two more days. Lots of probiotics being consumed in this house as well.

Getting a little tired of soft food but still very happy with how everything is progressing.

Supplies:
Heavy white card stock - Papertrey Ink
Ornament die and stamps - Hero Arts
Glitter paper and 3-d stickers - Recollections
Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Tape, 1/4" Width
Blueprints #12 (banner) - My Favorite Things
Easel die (Elizabeth Craft Designs) and gold patterned paper.
Bakers Twine

Green Joyful Tidings Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

Today's share is another set of holiday tags made with that open tag die by Hero Arts. The tags were cut out of heavy green Stardream which has a lovely pearlized finish.

The words come with the die set, and I white embossed them on the front. Then I used a banner from the Blueprints #12 set on the back. This gives me a place to write the person's name on the back, and adds a bit of white decoration on either side of the words from the front.

Supplies:
Green Stardream
Ornament die and stamps - Hero Arts
MISTI
White embossing powder - Ranger
Bakers Twine
Fine Point Tweezers - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Clear Double Sided Adhesive - 1/4" width
White card stock
Blueprints #12 (Banner)

Lacy Happy Holiday Cmas tags

Good morning friends

Today's share is another set of Christmas Tags. The Happy Holidays stamp comes with the die set and I added some red marker and glitter glue for holiday sparkle.

The MISTI is perfect for multiple stamping like these tags. I was able to stamp all of them without a single crooked or unevenly inked greeting.

Supplies:
Ornament die and stamps - Hero Arts
Copic marker
Heavy white card stock - Papertrey Ink
Stickles
Bakers Twine
MISTI - My Sweet Petunia

Holly Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

I have some new goodies - one is this pretty tag die from Hero Arts. I planned on making all my holiday tags this month, but so far I've only made a few. I am going to add some tags to my kids Christmas stockings, since they get those early. This die will also allow for lovely Hanukkah tags for Kelsey's stocking!

I think these tags will look so pretty packaged up in a flat cello bag.

Supplies:
Tag die & stamps - Lia Griffith, Hero Arts
Heavy White card stock - Papertrey Ink
Green card stock - scrap
Holly punch - Martha Stewart
Bakers Twine
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Easel (for display) - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Holiday Gift Tags

Good morning friends

I have Holiday tags to share today ... I started with a couple of things from my 'Odds & Sods' pile and it just grew from there.

The gifts & bows, and the tree & star are from the Evergreen Pivot by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The larger gifts & bows are from the Sleigh Gift Card Holder Pop-Up. The Tag Topper punch by Stampin' Up makes it so easy to create tags - I use this punch a lot.

Love this little Santa stamp and die set!

Supplies:
White card stock
Tag punch - Stampin' Up
Oval punch - Stampin' Up
Sleigh Gift Card Holder Pop-Up, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Santa stamp and die - Hampton Arts

Please Do Not Open Holiday Tags

Good morning friends

I picked up a package of pre-printed holiday tags on clearance, and it was too good of a deal to pass up. Especially since I was in holiday tag mode when I saw them. To complete these ones, I simply stamped the tiny tree and star and added Bakers Twine to the top.

Supplies:
Printed tags - Hero Arts
Tree and star - My Favorite Things

Stag Holiday Gift Tags

Good morning friends

This year I'm hoping to work on holiday tags all year so there isn't the panic or frenzy when it comes time to wrap our gifts. Having lots done ahead of time will also allow me to select some of the nicer ones to package up as little gifts.

Today's share were quick and easy. Each tag has two layers, the top white layer and the bottom brown layer. The stag was die cut from the white layer and a red Glitter Dot nose was added directly to the brown layer.

Supplies:
White card stock
Patterned paper - MME
Tag Topper punch - Stampin' Up
7018 Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stag stamp and die - Hampton Arts

Reindeer Gift Tags and a Zentangle Tile

Originally I planned on sharing a Gift Card Holder I made for friends, but I cannot find the photos in my files. I will keep looking for those pictures, but meanwhile I thought I'd share some holiday tags.

I was SO excited when Karen Burniston came out with her Props 5 which included ANTLERS. I used them here along with the 'Rudolph' nose and Glitter Dot eyes.

These turned out so cute - I am going to make more of these to use for Christmas 2016.

I'm also sharing my Zentangle Tile #7

Ring Accordion (stitched circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Confetti card stock
Kraft card stock
Red card stock
