Doggie Father's Day Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a fun Spiral Circle Pull Card to share today. Using the SCPC die set by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs, this card was quick and easy to put together.

The dogs and sayings in this stamp set just crack me up, so I knew I wanted to use the dog stamps for a Father's Day card.  The MISTI made stamping on the die cuts so easy!

Father's Day Card for Naor

Good morning friends

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog, and I have a Father's Day card to share today.

I had a little bit of this patterned paper leftover from a different project, so used a Blueprints die set and an ECD woodgrain embossing folder.

Looks like I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but it was computer generated. This will be Naor's first Father's Day!

Father's Day Card with Old Fashioned Car

It's Masculine Card Monday here on my blog and I have the first (of 8) Father's Day cards to share today. Why eight Father's Day cards? Because my Mom can't get out to shop for cards, so I make hers as well.

The die set comes with both the front and the back of the car, so I thought it would be fun to add the back to the inside of the card.

Farmyard Father's Day Card

Good morning friends

Today's card share uses some of Karen Burniston's newest dies. This farm collection will be shipping from Elizabeth Craft Designs at the end of the month ... and the Designer Challenge Team is having SO much fun with them. Here I used the Barn portion of the Barn Pop Stand set to decorate the front of a Father's Day card.

 Inside I have a row of farmyard characters standing up. I used the Barn Pop Stand on the inside and to get the farm characters to stand up I made a little hill. To do this, cut two 2 x 5" strips. Place them with the wrong sides together and cut the top edge with one of the Beach Edges. Then simply mount each 'hill' to the Pop Stand tabs as directed on the package. Instead of adhering the barn, you adhere the hill with the hills attached together at the top outside edges.

I loved the pattern on this paper so didn't want to cover it up. Instead I added a popped up die cut cloud.

Yes, I do know that a herd is not made up of a pig, a cow and a chicken. But hey - artistic license!

I'm loving how the farm characters can be made masculine or feminine, depending on the colours or papers chosen.

C4C281 National Pet Day

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog.  Lynn Put is our hostess for April, and this is her challenge:

11th April (C4C281) - Did you know that today is National Pet Day? For our challenge this week, create a card or project using some type of pet as your inspiration. 

I have another "Pull Card Turned Stand-Up/Easel Card" to share today. You can see my post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog HERE for another version.  This is the card in the closed position ...

When you open the card, this cute scene is revealed and the puppy spins up and into view.

I bought this fence die because I knew it would work really well with Karen Burniston's new release and I'm finding lots of uses for it! I really like these Puppy Peel-Off's that Els designed and have quite a few sheets of them.  I used one of the puppies for this card, adhering the Peel-Off to double sided adhesive and adding the Silk microfine Glitter. Then I coloured the image with Copics and fussy cut it.

Lots of Karen Burniston dies were used for this card ... the Rectangle Pull Card, the All Seasons Tree (clouds), the Beach Edges (hills) and the Happy Birthday Pop Up (Happy). The word Happy and the letters were cut from white card stock that has the Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back. Which makes adhering letters and script words a breeze.
