Butterfly Easter Card Duo

Good morning friends

Today's share is a couple of Easter cards I made. As soon as I saw this pretty patterned paper I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for ...

Using the Blueprints dies, these were so quick and easy to put together! I love that I can die cut my panels and the edges are always straight and square. I've had the butterfly dies for a very long time, and it was fun to get them out and use them again.

Since my Pop it Up dies are always on my stamping table, I used the Clock and Gears set to cut the white circle.

I stamped an Easter greeting inside and the cards were ready to pop in the mail.

Supplies:
White card stock
Patterned paper - Recollections
Blueprints #1 dies- My Favorite Things
Butterfly dies - Spellbinders
Clock & Gears (Circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stickles

I have a trio of Easter cards to share today. I adore that soft yellow card stock. I have no idea where I got it, as it's been in my stash for years.

The glossy bunny die cuts have also been in my stash for - gulp - years. I stamped them with a lace background image, inked the edges and added a sweet ribbon bow.

Here is a peek at the inside ...

Supplies used:
Yellow card stock
Green card stock

Easter Chick in a Frame

Good morning friends

I have an Easter card to share today, made using the little Birdie die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I cut her out of patterned paper, added doodling around the edge and also sponging.

To create the cloud panel, I first cut the clouds (from the All Season's Tree) out of the white panel. I set them aside, then sponged the ground with green ink and added blue sponging to the sky. Then I popped the white clouds back into their corresponding holes and attached the whole panel to the yellow polka-dot background panel. The die cut and embossed frame was attached over this.

Supplies used:
759 Birdee - Elizabeth Craft Designs
781 All Seasons Tree (clouds), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
771 Accordion Fancy Label  (Label), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Frame - On Film Framelit (Stampin' Up)
White card stock
Yellow patterned paper - American Crafts
Pool Party card stock - Stampin' Up
Black card stock scrap (behind bird's eye)
Happy Easter stamp (partial) - Michaels
Peep Stamp - Michaels
Tombow Markers

Easter Egg and Chick Pivot Card

Good morning friends!

I'm back today with another Easter card to share ... I just don't want to have these pictures sitting in my file for another year so I'm posting it today. :-)  I used the last of those adorable fuzzy Easter Chick stickers and the Katie Label Pivot die, which is a Pop it Ups die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I hand cut the little banners at the top and penned 'it's Easter' on the top one. The blue patterned paper on the label is actually double sided, with the yellow polka dots on the reverse side. I am loving this paper and have used every scrap except a single 1-1/2 x 2" piece. And I haven't yet tossed that one. Smile.

Inside, I cut a piece of that yellow polka dot paper with an Agatha Edge (another Pop it Up die set) then attached one piece to the top of the card and the other to the bottom. I will write a little note on the right side next year when I go to send the card.

Finally, here is a look at the back and the top view ...

While I'm sure I'm not finished making Easter cards, I'm keeping busy with the newest Karen Burniston release - the Pop it Ups HOUSE PIVOT die. It is SO much fun and the ideas just keep coming. Be sure to subscribe to Karen Burniston's newsletter and blog, as well as the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog so you don't miss any updates using this die. Or the (ahem) amazing Pop it Ups dies that will be coming out sometime in June!

I've already mentioned that the Design Team got a sneak peak of some of the June release ... and we cannot WAIT to get these in our hands to start playing.

Supplies used:
Card size - standard A2, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Card stock - Stampin' Up
Lots of Dots embossing folder - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Katie Label Pivot die - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Stickers - Jolee's Boutique
Yellow Patterned paper - American Crafts
What? No Wink of Stella? Wow.

Easter Bunnies Pop Up Card

Good morning friends!

Today's share is another Easter card. Since the stamped images were coloured, cut out and sitting on my stamping area I wanted to USE THEM instead of storing them until next year.

Hee hee hee - that little bunny is SO cute.

Of course I had to make it a Pop it Ups card ... this one uses the Lots of Pops die set.

I added little banner pieces on either side of the Katie Label decorator die. To get the multi coloured image, I coloured the stamp with Tombow Markers.

I knew I wanted to use the Bamboo Trellis die in a horizontal position, but didn't want the bottom portion. So I trimmed it off and just mounted the end to the piece I did want to use. Then I added some white dots with a gel pen.

The patterned paper was one of the freebies in the last Stampin' Up Sale A Bration and I have to say I'm really enjoying it!

My memory isn't what it used to be and that's a fact. So when I open up my Spring card box next year, I will be completely surprised that I have actually got some cards made ahead. Ahahaha.

Supplies used:
Lots of Pops - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Label - Katie Label Pivot - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Bamboo Trellis - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Patterned paper - Stampin' Up
White card stock
Bunny stamps - SugarPea Designs
Coloured pencils - Prismacolour
Gamsol and Blending stump
Happy Easter stamp - Stampendous
White Sakura gel pen
Banner punch - Stampin' Up
Label on front - from my stash
Tombow markers
Stickles (bunny tails)

Five Quick and Easy Easter Cards

Good morning friends!

I had finished making my Easter cards, and was trying to tidy up. There were so many bits and pieces sitting around, I decided to USE STUFF UP and make some more cards. Five Easter cards - finished. I used up almost the rest of the bird sticker sheet, a leftover bit of white pearlized paper AND the floral patterned paper pieces left from the other cards. Did it ever feel good, and now I have 5 cards ahead for next year.  ;-)

Even through the sparkly chick stickers are attached to strips of white pearl paper - it still needed SOMEthing.  Enter Shimmer Sheetz from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I cut one sheet of yellow to mat the paper strips and it was the perfect finishing touch.

The Shimmer Sheetz catches the light and is SO reflective and pretty.

Supplies used:
Card size - standard A2
White card stock
Yellow Shimmer Sheetz - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Dots embossing folder - E114, Elizabeth Craft Designs
Chick stickers - my stash
Stamp - Michaels
Tombow Markers
Pattern paper - scraps

Pop Up Easter Cards

Good morning friends!

I wanted to glitter and colour one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs (ECD) Peel-Off Egg stickers, but couldn't stop at just one. I ended up colouring all six of them on the sheet, so made six cards to use them on.

I made two of each colour, and the basic layout is the same for all the cards. The words inside were computer generated and printed onto light weight white card stock.

These two seemed to need something else, so I added this gorgeous lace border Peel-Off. This is one of my favourite borders, and I recently ordered a couple more sheets. Can't be running out of THESE!

I used one of the new ECD embossing folders on the front panel - the butterflies.

The eggs are SO pretty, using the ECD Silk Microfine Glitter. They were coloured with Tombow Markers, then fussy cut when dry and added to the Lucy Label Pop up. They remind me of those sugared eggs when I was a kid.

The 'E is for Easter' stamp is one I found in the bargain bins at Michaels - it stamps really nicely. The labels on the front were cut using the decorator dies that come with the Fancy Label Accordion set.

The labels inside were cut using a Katie Label Pivot decorator die. I love how everything in the Pop it Ups series work together.

Into my stash for next year.  Working ahead like this means I actually get cards done and in the mail in time. Otherwise, I just have good intentions but I don't actually get the Easter cards finished.
