Santa Cocoa Pop-Up Card

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog, and I have an older Christmas card to share today using Cocoa the Horse. Our eldest daughter had called to say she was doing a Secret Santa exchange with another young Pulmonary Hypertension patient who was CRAZY about horses. Did I have anything that I could make into a card for her to put into the parcel?  HA - well in fact, I had Karen Burniston's Cocoa the horse die AND stamps so I got to work.  Here is the front of the card ...

... with a stamped and fussy cut Cocoa.

And you know i had to make it a Pop-Up inside, using the Lucy Label Pop up and a die cut Cocoa sporting a Santa hat. :-)

Word is, she loved her card  :-)

Happy Dance.

Christmas Card In A Box and a Puppy Gift

Good morning friends

Today's share is the Christmas card I made for friends and hand delivered along with a coordinating little gift for their furry kids. After the photos were taken, I penned our message on the back circle.

This is a card that looks way better in real life, when the light catches the gold foiled bits on the patterned paper.

I packaged it in a clear envelope - and in this photo you get a better look at the foiled bits.

I actually use the 'Get A Handle On It' die often, but don't usually take photos. This time I remembered. I packaged up some treats in a clear envelope decorated with Washi Tape, then added the patterned paper topper and tag.

Supplies:
Card In a Box die - The Stamps of Life
Patterned paper - DCWV
White card stock
Ring Accordion (scallop circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

Zentangle Tile and last of the Christmas Pop Up Cards

Good morning friends, and welcome to my newest followers.

Before the cards, I wanted to share my 4th Zentangle Tile.

I also have a pair of Pop 'N Cuts cards to share - and that will be it for holiday cards for awhile, I promise.

Almost all of the finished Pop 'N Cut cards were sent out this year ... but I have a couple of dozen more cut and ready to be assembled and decorated. Ha! Looks like I'll be sending more Pop 'N Cut cards next year as well!

Wishing all of you a happy and healthy 2016.

Zentangle Tile and Pop-Up Christmas Card

Good morning friends

I still have a few more Christmas cards to share ... but come the New Year there will be some non-holiday cards including  cards using Karen Burniston's new CHA release!

First up today, is my Zentangle tile #3.

Next is a Pop-Up holiday card using those pre-cut Pop-N Cut bases I've been using up.

The front embellishment is a glossy sticker, attached to a die cut label from my 'odds & sods' pile.

Inside, I attached a tag to the pop-up platform and word sticker for the verse.

The tag had a gold foiled border sticker adhered to the bottom edge and Bakers Twine through the top.

Supplies:
Patterned paper - Momenta
Bakers Twine
Stickers - stash
Gold foiled border sticker - K & Company
A2 Pop 'N Cut with Wavy Label insert - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)

Christmas Ornament Pop-Up Cards

Good morning friends

I have another pair of Pop-Up cards to share today, using older Karen Burniston dies.

I added Bakers Twine to ornament embellishments from my stash, as well as a cream stitched oval to both card fronts. The ornaments have gold foiled bits on them.

The interior of both cards are the same ... I had a duplicate set of the glossy glittered stickers. Ha - I'm such a hoarder collector.

It was hard to photograph the shine and glitter inside - these look way better in real life.

To more cards from my "In Progress" bin completed and off in the mail, and I almost finished off the sticker sheets too.

Supplies:
A2 Pop 'n Cut Base with Wavy Label Insert - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Cream card stock
Patterned paper - Momenta
Clear plastic stickers - stash
Stitched Oval - My Favorite Things

Holly Pull Card with Extra Panel

Good morning friends, and Merry Christmas to all that celebrate this day.

Today's share is a Rectangle Pull Card, by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I love the notch that holds the card in the closed position until the sides are pulled to reveal the inside. On this card, when you pull the sides, an extra panel is revealed!

Here you can see the Merry Christmas, which is hidden when the card is closed.

And here is the card fully opened.

There is lots of room to write a message on the far right rectangle, and the card still folds up nice and flat to fit in the envelope.

Have a WONDERFUL DAY,  however you spend it. I truly appreciate your support
and the lovely comments you've left me through the year.

Gingerbread Pop-Up Card Duo

Good morning friends

I have a pair of Pop-Up cards today, using up more of my pre-cut Pop 'n Cut card bases and embellishments from my stash.

The candy canes on the front are all glittery and I love the 'oh what fun' stamp.

Inside I added an embellishment from my stash (a train for one and a doll for the second) onto the pop-up platform, some stitched border edges top and bottom, and a stamped greeting.

Even though I'm using older papers and dies, and using things up from my stash - the response to these cards has even really good. Just goes to show you - everyone loves a Pop-Up card.

Cream card stock
Patterned paper Momenta

Doggie Christmas Card for our Vet

Good morning friends

Today's share is the Christmas card I made for our vet.

Inside, I made it a Pop-Up card using the Sleigh Gift Card Pop-Up by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. The stamped and die cut dogs were attached to the the Pop-Up platform, the angled platform and the additional L support that comes with the die. "Put some WAG in hour holiday" - so fun!!

The dogs were stamped and die cut, then the sweaters were stamped, die cut and popped up with foam tape.

I made a coordinating tag, and tied it to a large box of TimBits. Ha - that was the only holiday 'baking' I'd done at that point. As of yesterday though, I have a couple of our family favourites all ready. :-)

Supplies:
White card stock
Sleigh Gift Card Holder, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Dog stamps and dies - Papertrey Ink
Patterned paper - MME
Fine Point Tweezers - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Good morning friends

I have a couple more Pop-Up cards to share today, made using Karen Burniston's older Pop 'n Cut dies. I'm nearing the end of the stack I had pre-cut out of this paper stack. I know there are dozens more cut and in the "Christmas Cards In Progress" bin ... but I'll work on those throughout the year. I'm looking forward to finishing them!

These two have a stamped, stitched oval as well as a gold glittered sticker border on the fronts.

Inside, I adhered a 'Joy to the World' embellishment, a stitched scalloped border and some gold washi tape. The Cardinal is printed on the patterned paper. The inside of both cards are identical.
