I wanted to make a card using the latest sketch at the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge Blog, but ended up making something completely different than was in my head.
The flower was a test stamp/punch using Stampin' Up's Mixed Bunch set. It was just sitting there on my stamping area, so I grabbed a stack of papers (DCWV) that matched the rainbow ink and went with this idea instead.
I added a little colour to the flower center with pencils to bring in a bit more of the orange and yellow.
Look at me, willingly using YELLOW on a card. ;-) You can see the glittery embossed bits on the paper in the photo above. It adds such nice texture - and I'm becoming more and more enamored of this type of Designer Paper (DP).
It was a fun sketch, and I still have the original idea floating around in my head for it. I just don't know if there will be time to make it before the next round of sketches come up!
Thanks for stopping by today - have a wonderful weekend!
Lovely card!!
