Freshly Made Sketch 46

I made three cards using this weeks sketch at the Freshly Made Sketch Blog; two identical Christmas cards and one flowery card. I will share the flowery one another day, today's share are the Christmas ones.

I flipped the sketch and used a Nestability die for the label shape, and a Papertrey Ink die & stamp set. The trees are by All Night Media. I stamped them with green dye ink onto the envelope front, then stamped them again without reinking onto the Nestability label. That gave me a lighter impression to mount the sleigh die cut over.

The ground under the trees was lightly sponged with blue ink and the die cut was spritzed with Glimmer Mist for a bit of shine.

The snowflake paper is from Hallmark and a sheet I've had for years and years. I still can't believe I cut into it for a couple of strips. Go me!  Stampin' Up's 'Not Quite Navy' card stock was a perfect match.

Rather than use a scalloped border, I used a glittery card stock strip - then punched a snowflake out of the same piece to tuck under the label.

A square punch helped notch the corners of the white and snowflake banner pieces - and it hangs over the edge just enough to be a feature yet still fit into the envelope. The card itself is 5 x 6.5", not an A2 card.

My 'large card' Christmas stash is slowly growing!

Thanks for stopping by today!
