C4C297 Happy Happy Birthday

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Since it's a new month,  we also have a new Hostess and a new Guest Designer. Frances Byrne will be our Hostess and the (amazing) Anna Wight will be the Guest Designer. I have been an Anna Wight (Sassy & Sweet) fan for YEARS, so I'm pretty excited that she will be joining us in August.

Here is Frances' challenge: According to the holiday insights web site which list special days for the month, this month is Admit You're Happy Month. To kick start our month of challenges lets create a card that includes the word 'Happy' on it.

My friend 'B' had come out to see our new house and have a play date last month, and she brought some of her newest dies. I used them to make our son a Birthday card.

Inside is a Pop-Up (no surprise there) using Karen Burniston's Lucy Label Pop-Up. I used 'B's' new Converse die and some fun plaid paper for the sneaker. Ha - I remember the day our son arrived home with the new winter coat he'd chosen and it was a plaid very similar to this patterned paper. I knew then he had his own sense of style.

Both of the Happy dies are by MFT, and I combined them with the Birthday from Karen Burniston's Happy Birthday Pop-Up die. The detail on the sneakers is amazing ... they even have the eyelets! I cut them from white card stock that had the ECD double sided adhesive, so they were easy to attach.

Here is a side view, so you can see the Pop-Up platform a little better.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C297.
