Green Glossy Christmas Card Duo

Good morning friends

I'm nearing the end of my Christmas Card shares ... while I do work on holiday cards all year long, I won't be posting as many as I have this month.

Today's cards were made with a Scalloped Edge Card die by Sizzix - I love that front scalloped edge. I cut the green panels again with the same die, cutting only the front. Then I trimmed a little off each side and the top leaving a white mat.

The layered label die is an older one by Karen Burniston - I still think it's one of my favourites.  I added it to another Sizzix label die for contrast and stamped the words inside the oval.  The green patterned paper has a glossy print on it that catches the light and is just perfect for the holidays.

Supplies:
Scalloped Edge Card - Sizzix
Label - Prima Estate - Sizzix
Fancy Label - Karen Burniston - Sizzix
White card stock
Patterned paper - Recollections
Stamp - Hero Arts

Holly & Deer Flip-It Card Duo

Good morning friends

It was very strange not really celebrating Christmas yesterday. Very strange. The good news is that I am slowly getting over the flu and hubby is starting to get better too. (The flu hit him on Tuesday evening.)  Since I can keep my head up for more than a few minutes at a time, I used my labeller and added labels to the drawers in my new Craft Room. Until I knew everything I put away was going to stay where I put it, I was using Post-It notes. Which were actually quite jarring to the eye, against the white drawers. The labels are much cleaner and easier to read. One more bank of drawers and a few boxes in the red cabinet and everything will be labelled. Woot!

I have a few more Christmas cards to share before I'm done for the year;  today's share are two Flip-It cards with that sweet deer stamp I used a few weeks ago:

This time I perched a cardinal on her back for a pop of colour.

These cards just make me happy!

Supplies:
Fancy Edge Flip-It - Stephanie Barnard (The Stamps of Life)
Stamps & dies - W Plus 9
Patterned paper - Anna Griffin (Holly) and Echo Park (Striped)
Confetti card stock
Card size - A2

Christmas Ornament Pop Up Card Duo

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!

I have a couple of days worth of scheduled posts (including this one) thinking it would free me up to spend time with the family. However, I'm down with the flu and we've had to postpone Christmas until I recover.

I have a couple of older Christmas cards to share - that I made early last year using Karen Burniston's Pop 'n Cut dies.  I also layered Tim Holtz' ornament dies together to create a larger, layered Christmas tree decoration and added glitter glue to the edges.

Here is the first card ... the paper has embedded glossy and glittered areas, and I added an acetate snowflake to the centre of the ornament.

Inside is embossed and sparkly paper with a pretty 3-d sticker attached to the Pop Up portion.

The second card was made almost identical ...

... only I used a different sticker on the inside.

Supplies (the ones I can remember)
A2 Pop 'n Cut base with the Funky Label insert - Pop 'n Cuts, Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Funky Label Framelits - Pop 'n Cuts, Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Fancy Frame - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Christmas Ornaments - Tim Holtz (Sizzix)
3-d stickers - K & Co
Word stamp - My Favorite Things
Patterned paper - unknown

Snowflakes Pull Card

Good morning friends

I have another card to share today, using Karen Burniston's Spiral Circle Pull Card die.

I trimmed the patterned paper to fit on the left side of the card with a small border of the card showing, and this covered up the notches that normally hold the SCPC in the closed position. Yet another option you have with this die!

There are gold foiled bits in the patterned paper, so I added glittered snowflake embellishments and a Merry Christmas Peel Off in gold. Just for fun, I also added red Glitter Dots to the gold snowflake and a white/gold one to the red snowflake.

Inside I used an SCPC circle and nesting circle dies to create the layers and stamped the words on the top white circle. The blank white circle is hidden when the card is closed, and is where I signed our names when I mailed the card.

Supplies:
916 Spiral Circle Pull Card, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
7018 Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
2576 Merry Christmas Large Peel Off - Elizabeth Craft Designs
White card stock
Red textured card stock - stash

Sparkling Stocking Christmas Card

Good morning friends!

I have another stocking card to share today - I think this one is my favourite one. I just love the aqua and red colour combo.

I used the stocking die by Elizabeth Craft Designs, cutting the heel & toe from pearlized card stock the cuff from a scrap of sparkly paper. The cuff was also decorated with a sparkling poinsettia sticker.

The polka dot panel was layered onto the striped one with foam tape, then I tied red Bakers Twine around both layers before attaching the stocking with more foam tape.

I decorated the inside with another panel of that pretty striped paper and stamped the greeting on a smaller white panel.

Supplies:
White card stock
Patterned paper - stash
3-d Poinsettia stickers - Jolees
Glitter paper scrap (Cuff)
Pearlized white Bazill (toe and heel) scrap
Inside stamp - Papertrey Ink
Bakers Twine
Glitter Glue
Card size - A2

Christmas Tag Pull Card

Good morning friends!

I know it's Saturday, and usually that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. However, we are taking a little break to spend time with our families and we will be back in the New Year with fun new challenges. So today, I have a Christmas 'Z-Fold' pull card to share that I made for the holidays ... not for a challenge!

The patterned paper has beautiful gold foiled bits in it. I fussy cut two tags from a sheet of paper in the same stack, and sandwiched the circle portion of the Spiral Circle Pull Card in between them. The notches keep the card in the closed position, and when the recipient pulls the card open the circle flips around to reveal the second tag.

I added some red Glitter Dots (What? Who me?) and a die cut snowflake that was sitting on my stamping desk.  The SCPC comes with several decorator dies, including two snowflakes - this is one of them.

Supplies
Spiral Circle Pull Card, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Patterned paper (and tags) - DCWV
Glitter Dots (red/gold) - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Red seam binding
Word stamp - Stampin' Up
Red textured card stock - Bazzill
White card stock
Card size - A2

Cardinal Pop 'n Cut Christmas Card Duo

Good morning friends

I've been busy in my Craft Room, preparing samples for CHA with the new release of Pop it Up dies by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The new dies are SO WONDERFUL, it was hard to know which ones to use first!

No sneak peeks allowed yet, but start saving your pennies as you are going to love this new release. Just sayin'

I have two identical pop up holiday cards to share today ...

The card base was cut from this lovely clear embossed patterned paper using a 4-1/2 x 6" Sizzix card die with a scalloped bottom front edge.

Inside is this sparkly snowy pine print paper, made into a pop up using an older Karen Burniston die - the Wavy Label Pop 'n Cut insert with the A2 Pop 'n Cut card base.

I wanted to pop out the stamped greeting, so formed a little box from white card stock.

The sweet Cardinal sticker is by K & Co (who else?)

I was so happy to send out my Christmas cards this year as most of them were interactive! Yet they didn't take much longer to make than a flat A2 card.

Supplies:
Scalloped Card die - Sizzix
A2 Pop 'n Cut Base with Wavy Label Insert - Karen Burniston( Sizzix)
Wavy Label Framelits - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Snowflake Dies - Stampin' Up
Glimmer Paper - Stampin' Up
Word stamp inside - Hero Arts
Cardinal sticker - K & Co
Sparkly snowy pine paper - Recollections

Spiral Circle Pull Card with Holly Border

Good morning friends

I have another Christmas card to share today, using the Spiral Circle Pull Card die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

ECD has a new double sided tape that works wonderfully with dies, because the liner is much thinner than the brand name tape we used up til now.  I cut a 2 x 6" piece of the tape and adhered one side to a 2 x 6" strip of the green patterned paper.  The beautiful holly border cut like a dream, and was easy peasy to adhere to my project because it was then essentially a sticker.

I added some glitter dots to the border, and brushed a bit of baby powder on the part that overhangs the cut away circle.  I decorated the front with a Merry Christmas Peel-Off and chipboard pine cone sticker.

When the card is pulled open, there is a place to add our signature and a decorated tree embellishment.

The tree was fussy cut from a printed tag in the same package as the patterned paper, decorated with Glitter Dots, and is hidden from sight when the card is in the closed position.

Today is the day that Karen Burniston has her post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog - be sure to check it out and see all the amazing Designer Challenge Team projects in one spot, and Karen B's card and video is sure to inspire you. Check it out HERE, later this morning.

Good morning friends

I have another Christmas card to share today, using the Stocking die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

After pen stitching around the sock portion, I cut the cuff, toe and heel from wool felt. The stocking  hangs from a pine sprig, which is also a die from ECD.  I added Glitter Dot 'berries' for some sparkle.

Christmas Flip-It Card Duo

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have two holiday Flip-It cards to share today ...

This first one went to our Granddaughter Olivia. I cut the edges of the Flip-It's die again from red card stock, and added it to the sides. This makes the card larger than a standard A2, but I did have an envelope that worked perfectly for it.

The patterned paper is sparkly, the little bear has some glitter on her neck bow, and I added red punched banners for a pop of colour.

Here is a peek at the inside, with a stamped greeting on the flip side and a place for our signature that hides under the bear when the card is closed.

The second card has this sweet shaker sticker ... I made a couple of cards using them this year. They are SO fun!

The paper has sparkly design strips and I stamped a greeting on the flip side of the circle.

Supplies:
Circle Flip-It's #2 - Stephanie Barnard (Sizzix)
Patterned paper - My Minds Eye
Bear embellishment and shaker sticker - K & Co
Stamped words - Hero Arts
Green card stock
Red card stock
Banner punch - Stampin' Up
