Bird Birthday Card

I have a birthday card to share today, using that pretty, sparkly paper stack I used on my Pop 'N Cut cards back in mid July. {When I got the paper stack home and went to work with it, I realized that the images were really large and not meant to be cut down for A2 cards}.

This card is a little larger than A2 ... it's 6 x 4.5" and was cut with the Sizzix Scalloped Border card die.  The label die is also by Sizzix, and I stamped the Happy Birthday in black then a little colour was added with a Copic marker. The 'Happy' was stamped with Distress Ink.

For the inside, after I stamped the bird (same one as on the envelope) I die cut the Sizzix label. The PTI stamp was stamped twice - once on the label and once on a scrap of the same creamy white.  I added colour to the two horizontal lines of the stamp with a Copic marker.

I cut the 2nd stamped image out, just inside those lines, then popped the narrow strip up over the main image with dimensionals.

While it looks like quite a simple card, it IS more impressive in real life.  :-)  The weight of the card stock, the embedded sparkle, the dimension from the popped up embellishments, as well as the fact that it's larger than an A2 card all add up to the overall feel. Another few pieces of that paper stack have been used up and into my stash with this card!

Thanks for stopping by today!
